A two bedroom luxury self catering apartment in Inverness, the capital of the Highlands of Scotland. City centre location with a large terrace overlooking the river Ness - close to Loch Ness and the Highland Whisky Trail.

This is a spacious two-bedroom boutique apartment ideal for a romantic city break in the centre of Inverness. The apartment has a stunning view over the river and across to the castle both from inside the apartment and outside from the extensive terrace where you can eat al fresco or simply sit and watch the late evening summer sunsets.

One floor up (with lift access) in a recently converted and refurbished building overlooking the river Ness in the city centre, the apartment offers really attractive, spacious and comfortable guest accommodation for you to enjoy. With solid oak flooring in the public areas and warm cosy carpeting in the bedrooms you can really feel at home in this top quality apartment; add to that the sense of space and light from the floor-to-ceiling windows in the lounge/dining area, the view of the river from the terrace and the contemporary furniture, and you have apartments that will make you go 'wow' when you walk in!

The bedrooms have (UK) king-size beds and high quality pure cotton bedding; the bathrooms, both ensuite with walk-in showers, are finished to a luxurious standard. For anyone who needs it, there is a utility room with a washing machine. Full double glazing keeps the heat in and the noise out. The terrace, which runs along the front and side of this deluxe apartment, is extensive and, if you are here for a wedding or to meet up with friends, provides a large, dramatic and usable space for entertaining. The modern full kitchen is supplied with high quality fittings and appliances, including a dishwasher, ceramic hob and fan oven.

Comfortable seating in the lounge area is complemented by a large freeview TV and good sound system for your i-pod; solid oak and glass tables and contemporary lighting finish things off nicely.

Access to the building is easy, with ramps to the front door and lift (elevator) service to all floors. Located in a design-led development on the corner of the river and Inverness High Street - you cannot get more central than this, with Inverness city centre shops, restaurants, pubs, bars and cafes all just a stroll away!

You can reach the pretty tree-lined walks along the river Ness, with its riverside restaurants and cafes, art galleries, theatre and hotels, within 1 minute of leaving your apartment.

The train and bus stations are 5 minutes walk away, or a short taxi journey. The airport is situated 6 miles out of town, about a 15-minute road journey.

The Tourist Information Centre is directly opposite the Apartment building and from here you can take trips down Loch Ness or up to the new surround-experience Culloden Battlefield visitor centre.

Loch Ness is only 6 miles from the city centre; Loch Ness trips can include a visit to Urquhart Castle and the world-famous Loch Ness Monster exhibition centre!

You can visit the Isles of Orkney for a day trip or you can drive to the West coast or the Castle and Whisky Trails in about an hour and a half. The Isle of Skye is a scenic drive of 90 miles or so - day trips leave from the tourist information centre.

You're likely to see Red Kites as you drive over the Black Isle and you can take boat trips to see the Moray Firth Dolphins. For winter breaks we are only 36 miles from Cairngorm Mountain in the Cairngorms National Park - where you can enjoy a bite to eat in Britain's highest restaurant.

Nearest Shops - the nearest general stores are Tesco Metro and the Co-Op on Church St; both about 3 minutes walk from the apartment. They are open from 7.00am to 8.00pm. The nearest post office is 5 minutes walk towards the station on Queensgate.

Marks & Spencer - turn left at the main door and Marks and Spencer………is only 3 minutes walk away!

Cinema - the multiplex cinema,Vue, with 6 screens, is situated in the out of town shopping centre a 5-minute drive from the apartment. There are also two cinemas at Eden Court Theatre

Eden Court Theatre, the largest arts venue in Scotland, is within walking distance of the apartments, just along the river bank. It contains two theatres, two cinemas, a bar and restaurant. Current brochures of shows and films are in the apartment.

I was a Hotel Inspector for the Scottish Tourist Board when I got to know the developer of the apartment building and it was he who suggested I become involved in creating a Serviced Apartment business - the first one in Inverness - using these fantastic apartments.

What makes this apartment unique

The building itself offers a unique location overlooking the river. A city centre stay where you can be in the country within 10 minutes.......and what countryside it is! The Highlands of Scotland have been described as 'the last wilderness in Europe' so during the day you can experience the great outdoors and later you can return to seriously luxurious comfort with all the amenities of the city centre at hand - especially all the good (and some excellent) restaurants within 5 minutes walk of your apartment.

Inverness gem

We fell into the most perfect apartment for our 3 day stay in beautiful Inverness. everything was exactly as pictured and described on vrbo...you will not be disappointed with your choice. Robin helped before and during our trip, always responding quickly to our questions. The location cannot be beat, and sitting outside on the balcony with drinks is a bucket list item. Restaurants, shopping, sightseeing are all easily done on foot, with many options even directly below the apartment. Despite being on the busiest intersection in town, we all slept peacefully. The baths are compact, but nicely appointed, and the showers work great. We cooked our breakfasts (grocery store is just across the bridge), and loved having the convenience of a leisurely morning in the apartment. This is a great location for golfers, with Castle Stewart and Nairn close by. All in all, a superb choice for accommodations. Plus, you can watch the fly fishermen in the river just outside!
