Awaken with excited anticipation in our 1930's Spanish-style home 1 BDR+ retreat. Situated down the block from the always vibrant & walkable Sunset Junction, SilverLake's The Red Door has that warm, loving welcome of an old friend with all the charm of modern day.

Our freshly renovated & newly furnished private sanctuary includes original hardwood flooring throughout a sizable living room. Here you can enjoy HD-TV with cable & HBO, Internet access, write a letter at your own work desk or just curl up on the daybed among the “birch trees” while getting relaxedly lost in a book. Perhaps, after turning on your music at the iPod dock & radio, you may want to saunter into the kitchen/4 seated dining area where black with white speckled granite kitchen counters, modern kitchen appliances, & all the essential cooking implements await your inner chef to reveal him/herself. Here is where that family recipe can be made with all the fresh ingredients you bought that morning at our Saturday local farmer's market. Finally, when the day has filled your heart & imagination with all that Los Angeles has to offer, you ready yourself for the night in your full marble-floored bathroom. Make your way to the upstairs bedroom equipped with a queen sized bed that sleeps two, a view of the Hollywood Sign, a brand new AC/heater, & a full length mirror. Open a few of your 360 degree windows for a cross-breeze and wave goodnight to the beautifully lit Griffith Observatory.

Excellent hospitality, great place!

We were so happy we chose the Red Door for a stay in Silverlake. We felt at home immediately in this beautiful bungalow! Every amenity is so well thought out and it's extremely clean and comfortable! The kitchen is well appointed and the bed is very comfortable. The Family room is spacious and my favorite, the charming front patio. A perfect place to have coffee and breakfast while soaking in the sunshine! The location is fantastic! A short walk to Sunset will take you to all the great shops, restaurants, and markets, and all that Silverlake has to offer!

Douglas and Deidrie are great people and wonderful hosts! We would recommend the Red Door highly to anyone!

We had a great experience staying with Douglas & Diedrie in their gorgeous bungalow! They had everything we could need to make our stay fantastic and more! Douglas could not have been more helpful with information about the area, where to go, eat, shop, etc. Weather was awesome! I highly recommend staying here!
