3 bedroom condo close on the Balboa Peninsula

Sitting on one of the most desirable corners of Newport, rests this peaceful 3 bedroom, 2 bath vacation condo. Boasting 1300 square feet, this condo has recently gone through a total renovation, including new furniture and appliances. A calm and modern atmosphere awaits you at this beach escape.

Fond memories will easily be made in this open living and dining room, whether you decide to play some of the provided games, watch a favorite movie, or reminisce about moments at the beach. Attached to the living area is a roomy, raised patio outfitted for sunbathing, entertaining and barbecuing. And you don’t have to be a seasoned chef to enjoy what our kitchen supplies; from cooking spices and storage containers to granite countertops and new appliances, the kitchen contains everything you need to make simple snacks for a day at the beach or a delicious dinner for the whole family. The master bedroom enjoys an ocean view from a comfortable queen bed, private bath, television and access to the patio. The second bedroom has a queen bed, television, and a view of the Historic Balboa Pier, while the last bedroom has a full and single bunk bed. All three televisions have access to DirecTV, so no one has to miss their favorite sitcom or drama while on vacation. There is also an in-unit washer and dryer and WiFi for your convenience.

The condo is located just steps away from many popular activities such as boating, paddle boarding, kayaking, and the famous Balboa Fun Zone and Ferris wheel. There are two bicycles available for picturesque rides on the boardwalk or a visit to the Newport Pier. If you want to venture off the boardwalk, you are only a short stroll to the Balboa Island Ferry, which will take you to Balboa Island for shopping and delightful food adventures. You are 30 minutes from Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm and upscale shopping at Fashion Island, and only 1½ hours to San Diego.

Family Vacation to Disneyland

We stayed at this condo on our family vacation to Disneyland. We loved the condo layout and how cute it was decorated! The elevator on the property made hauling luggage, using a stroller and unloading groceries a breeze. The three televisions with Direct TV were nice and our kids were able to watch a show at night and unwind. We loved eating breakfast and dinner as a family out on the patio dinning set with a view of the ocean! The condo is about a 20-25 minute drive to Disneyland and we didn't run into any traffic. The beach is a 2 minute walk across the parking lot. We walked out to the 50's themed diner on the pier one night for dinner and the kids loved it! On our last day we walked down to the Balboa Pier Fun Zone, rode the Ferris wheel, took the ferry over to Balboa Island and ate a Balboa ice cream bar. We loved staying here and plan to stay here again. Having the beach so close and Disneyland a short drive away made for the perfect vacation with kids!

Newport Wedding Weekend

The condo was very clean and decorated with great taste! We rented it for my daughters wedding weekend in Newport Beach and it was the best decision ever to rent this condo. It was close to the wedding venue and a few blocks from my mother-in-law. Didn't have much time to relax and enjoy the beach, but it the beach certainly made great wedding and family pictures!!!

Comfortable stay on vacation in Oct

We enjoyed our stay at this condo on Newport Beach, we had to get used to the ferry but loved the experience of having to take a ferry. Plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Would have liked to have a grocery store nearby but the general liquor store around the block had things we needed at the last minute, very convenient. We went the 2nd week in Oct so not overly crowded, the air was cool, sun hot, but ocean water pretty cold...we got in about shin deep. The waves were awesome and the sounds of them even better! Big, clean beach. Keep in mind there is a huge dune at the edge of the beach you have to walk over to get to the water...because of this dune and the parking lot, it makes it difficult to see the ocean from the condo. The condo was pretty clean except for the patio floor could have used a good power washing. The bikes they had in the garage were pretty old and rusted so we rented bikes from the nearby bike rental store. We had a large size SUV and it couldn't fit in the underground garage so had to pay $90 to park across the street for the week (5 days)...the garage will only allow a car or small truck in otherwise the roof of your vehicle would be torn off. Not a big deal I guess except for having to pay extra for parking, just glad there was parking very close by. Jeff was very helpful and responded quickly with any questions we had, very nice and helpful. If you are tall you will have a difficult time in the 2nd bath shower as the shower head is pretty low, not sure about the master didn't look at that one. Plenty of bath, hand, face, and beach towels. Washer and dryer worked good. The 2 beach chairs were nice. The beds are not the greatest comfort, could use some padding. Overall we feel we got a great condo for the price we paid, we enjoyed our stay and if we ever come back to NPB we would definitely stay here again! Thank you Jeff and Stephanie!

Owner's Response: We are glad you enjoyed your time on the peninsula. We appreciate your comments as it helps us identify areas needing improvement for our guests. The bicycles are only two years old and still in good condition; unfortunately, the beach weather is not a friend of chrome and become very rusty. In order to accommodate large vehicles, we provide a parking pass for the alley parking, in addition to the two underground parking spaces; there is also free on-street parking within a couple of blocks of the condo. Both bathrooms have low showerheads, and we are currently in the middle of renovating the master bathroom shower. Once completed, we will be posting new pictures. Just prior to your stay we scrubbed the patio, but there are permanent stains especially near the barbq and eating area. We are currently considering different flooring materials. We hope to see you back when your travels bring you to beautiful Newport Beach! Best, Jeff & Stephanie

Location, comfort, homey

We picked this location because it was centrally located to many restaurants, stores and of course...the beach. It gave all our family options regardless of age or agenda. The condo was large enough (living room, kitchen, patio) to mingle and cook and relax without being on top of each other

Clean, modern, well-stocked, beach decor, WiFi, washer and dryer are all reasons to stay again for our large families.

Everyone commented on feeling " at home", and that made our wedding stay very special, will definitely stay at this cozy condo again.

You will be asked to leave if you are found to be conducting such a party and you will not receive a refund.
3. All of the units are privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
4. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order.
5. No towels or clothing shall be hung on the wrought-iron patio fencing.
6. Only use appliances for their intended uses.
7. Pets are NOT allowed.
8. Parking is limited to two (2) vehicle(s). Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only (72” vehicle height limit). Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
9. Bicycles are provided for the Guest party’s enjoyment. Bicycle helmets are also provided and should be worn while riding the bicycles. The Homeowner is not responsible for any injuries incurred while riding the bicycles.
