About the property

Terrera house called El Lomo, located in a small coastal neighborhood. Totally independent with sunroom and very large roof terrace with views of Mount Teide. The house is very bright and suitable for handicapped. It is 1.5 km swimming area known as the wind pool where you can get vehicle or for the more adventurous there are marked trails. Just in front of the house is a supermarket and 500 meters from public transport stop.

It is the neighborhood where La Guancha born. After the arrival of a group of Gran Canaria to this place, following the conquest and the distribution of land.

It is the oldest urban center, that throng in the vicinity of Camino Real, today Cañada Baja and Calle Real, with beautiful examples of traditional architecture of the sixteenth century stonework, narrow streets and traditional gabled houses.

El Camino Real reviewed, travelers was passing the island, on foot or on horseback ran for him to move first from Buenavista to La Laguna and then to Santa Cruz.

Still walking along the Calle Real, in the section of its oldest houses, the memory of his past looking at their houses, some neoclassic and other retaining its traditional Canarian style is perceived.

In the surrounding area there is a small square with benches and some trees, which survives one of the few known old cedars.

Its microclimate is indisputably one of the best in Europe, enabling its inhabitants enjoy a high quality of life and excellent growing tubers, such as yams and hoop.

It also has a cultural center, a playground and a recreational park with barbecuing, which is a kiosk that integrates the beauty of the park.

Very spacious inside, massive roof terrace with fantastic views of Mount Teide.

We had a great holiday in Santa Catalina. Away from the crowds this is a small traditional Canarian village with friendly inhabitants and a wee shop nearby. The house is also very traditional but freshly decorated and with all mod cons. We found it very clean and spacious. The only thing missing was a kettle for my tea which I will remember to take next time we go. I will also endeavour to learn a bit of Spanish as our host doesn't speak any English but is none the less very friendly and welcoming. We would certainly return as it is a great base for exploring this beautiful island.

Nur zu empfehlen!

Vom ersten Tag waren wir von der großzügigen Wohnung und besonders dem kleinen Innenhof mit Essplatz (und Markise) sehr angetan. Absolut ruhige Lage - von der Landstraße, die direkt am Ort vorbei geht hört man gar nichts. Vermieter ist sehr nett und hat gleich geholfen als es ein Leck an der Wasserinstallation gab. Minimarkt gleich gegenüber und die ganze Nordküste ist zu Fuß oder in max. 35 Fahrminuten schnell erreicht. Ein tolles Haus in dem man gut zu sechst leben kann und jeder auch noch einen Rückzugsort findet (z.B. Dachterrasse!).

Estuvimos lls últimos dias de junio y primeros de julio de 2017 y ha sido una estancia fantástica. La cas está bien situada, en Santa Catalina, municipio de La Guancha, en una calle fácilmente accesible pero tranquila. Se puede aparcar en la misma puerta sin ningún problema. Aunque llegamos muy tarde, casi a las dos de la madrugada, Jairo y su padre Antonio nos esperaron para darnos las llaves y enseñarnos la casa. Cualquier duda que tuvimos nos la respondieron rapidamente antes y durante nuestra estancia.

La casa es grande y cómoda, con un patio para comer o cenar muy agradable. Tiene una azotea grande y soleada con vistas al Teide.

Dispone de todo lo necesario.

Camas cómodas y armarios en todas las habitaciones.

El acceso a la autovia La Orotava - Icod es casi immediata.

Sin duda repetiriamos!

Ho fatto un soggiorno di 7 giorni con amici il posto e molto accogliente e non manca nulla molto pulito e spazioso siamo stati benissimo.. Poi e situato in una zona dove a pochi km trovi il mare e luoghi tutti da scoprire il nord dell isola secondo noi e molto meglio e questa casa e il luogo ideale ...
