The Smithy is a cosy cottage with a courtyard garden situated in a rural hamlet a few hundred yards from the Mortimer Trail and on the edge of the ancient Mortimer Forest. Close to the beautiful market towns of Ludlow and and Leominster and an easy drive to Hereford or Hay on Wye. Edward IV is reputed to have had his horses shod here. Wonderful walking for people and their dogs (which we welcome).

Beautiful. Had an amazing few days in a gorgeous little hamlet.
Cottage just as described. Very clean and everything provided. Lovely comfy bed. Philippa and Warren friendly and attentive hosts...great free range eggs from the chickens. X
Perfect little cottage for a long or short stay.
It is a lovely little cottage hidden away in a quiet hamlet.
One feels hidden away from it all, but in-fact you are only
a field walk from other villages, and a few minutes drive from
several towns. The cottage has all the facilities and atmosphere to
enable you to enjoy a weekend or two week stay. The owners
charming converted smithy in a wonderful location
We have a lively border collie and we shared some wonderful walks with him just by leaving the front door. The cottage was well equipped and homely and our hosts supplied us with some delicious fresh eggs. We would be happy to revisit this holiday home as it ticked all our boxes, especially being dog friendly. This area of Herefordshire is very special and deserves a visit if you enjoy walking, wildlife and good food. Enjoy!
Cosy comfortable cottage
Lovely base, beautiful location 😀
A character property, in a very quiet spot
A relaxing break in a cosy cottage. Friendly and helpful owners. Plenty of things to do in the area, especially if you like walking.
Beautiful cottage, so peaceful.
