Centrally located in a quiet street approximately 180yards from Kennington Tube station ( which has quick and direct lines to the South bank, West End and City) a large and well appointed studio flat.
Laid out to high standards and with its own front door. The accommodation comprises of an entrance vestibule leading to the bay fronted studio room furnished with a comfortable double bed, and sofa, television and period features. A hall with storage and hanging space leads through to a bright and airy eat-in kitchen fitted with cooker, hob, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. A modern shower room and further store with washing machine.
Decorated in neutral colours with a mixture of antique and modern furniture.
A perfect base for either a business or pleasure trip.
We stayed in this lovely little flat for 5 nights in September, 2007, and had an excellent time. Simon, the owner of the flat, was very friendly and helpful, and a pleasure to chat with. The studio itself is delightfully decorated and cozy, with a comfy queen sized bed and couch for lounging. The kitchen is bright and cheerful, and is very well stocked with utensils to make cooking meals very easy. The bathroom is a little smaller than expected, but it was all we really needed for our stay.
The walk to the Kennington Tube Station is a breeze, and takes less than 2 minutes to get there. We were in Central London for sightseeing in less than 15 minutes altogether, so the location of Kennington is fantastic!
We walked with ease to the Tesco nearby for groceries, as it was not even a 10 minute walk, and there are numerous restaurants and pubs in the area, many of which Simon was able to recommend to us.
All in All, we had a wonderful stay, and we will definately return for another stay sometime soon!
It's near from tube station, so covinient visiting downtown.
I really love this comfortable and cozy apartment!!!
Simon is a great host. The location is a block away from the Tube that can get you anywhere in minutes. The flat is clean and has a clothes washer in it that helped with the rest of the trip. Priced extremely reasonable and was easy to get to from Heathrow Int. I would recommend this place to everyone who is spending time in London.
We spent four nights and found the flat ideal. Well equipped kitchen. Comfy bed. Easy transport to central London - we used buses 3 and 159. Simon's flat really is value for money. We hope it is available next time.

Very well appointed, nicely decorated - even more so than in the photos. The kitchen is well-equipped. It's on a very quiet street, particularly during the night. It was roomier than we expected. The tube station is very convenient, only about a 1/2 block away. There's an express grocery store nearby and a very good bakery/tea shop within a few blocks. Everything was very clean and worked well. It's nicely redecorated with good quality materials. For walkers, it's a nice walk back from downtown London across Lambeth or Westminster Bridge. The Waterloo Train station is a tube stop away, providing easy access to other towns, such as Windsor. Getting there from Heathrow was a breeze on the Piccadilly Line to the Northern Line. Simon was very helpful in quickly answering all of our questions before we arrived. There are numerous tourist books/aids in the apartment as well as plug adapters. It's definitely a place we would stay again. It was a nice place to return to after a busy day in London.
Perfect for a single traveller, the flat is so welcoming to come home to. All the necessities are provided - in a lovely, gracious way. (The online pictures are accurate.) The bed and pillows are good, the shower is hot and plentiful, the kitchen works, wifi strong, and comfortable easy chairs and lighting for planning the next day's adventure. And the location was so very convenient to access all my destinations, including coming and going from two different airports.
Kennington lies just south of the Thames and only one and a half miles from the geographical centre of London.
Close to the tourist spots of the South Bank, Borough Market , City and West End. Great transport links with Tube, Bus and Rail. Minutes away is the delightful Clever Square with its traditional English pub which provides an excellent spot to sit on a summers evening and relax. Good local restaurants....as well as the swanky central ones.
