This is a superb location with easy connections to all parts of London

This newly converted south-facing 3 bedroom condo with an open living and dining area provides bright and spacious accommodation for the discerning visitor. Two bathrooms (one en-suite) plus a further cloakroom/utility room, air conditioning, wi-fi and television all makes for comfortable living. There is also a sofa-bed in the lounge which can be used for additional registered guests. There is a terrace leading off one of the bedrooms and a patioed garden for outdoor enjoyment. Just 3 minutes walk from South Kensington Underground station and close to the museums and the bustling outdoor restaurants and cafés that abound in the area, it is ideally located. There is a gymnasium just 3 doors away and the street and the surrounding area of Brompton Cross are peppered with upmarket fashion houses and other great shops.

Great Location and Great Place

You can't beat this location. It is steps from the tube, museums and parks, restaurants and markets. Anything you need is within a five minute walk and major tourist attractions are not more than a 20 minute tube ride away. Neville and Sonia are consummate hosts, offering advice and recommendations about everything from restaurants to wine shops and transportation. They are available as needed without being intrusive.

The flat itself is even better than the photos show. Each of the three bedrooms is on its own level, providing privacy and space away. We easily fit five people, two families with one teenager and never felt crowded. There is ample seating and dining space on the main level, a kitchen with a large refrigerator and air conditioning that cools each space quickly (and we sure appreciated it during our stay). The flat also has a washing machine that is easy to use along with a drying rack.

With the close proximity to the tube, you will hear a little train noise, but the windows and shutters keep out 90% of it. We had no trouble sleeping.

The entire flat is well-appointed. You can tell it was renovated with travelers in mind. There is lots of storage in the master suite and the ensuite was phenomenal. The two remaining rooms share one bathroom with a shower and there is an additional powder room on the main floor.

The thing that strikes you most about the flat is all the thoughtful touches the hosts offer: fresh flowers throughout the home, a wonderful supply of fresh food to get you started and plenty of towels, linens and all the toiletries you need when you arrive. I've never seen such a well-stocked VRBO and would easily stay again!

Beautiful house. Warm hosts. Great location.

The house is beautifully furnished and decorated. Starbucks, Pret a Manger, and more are a short stroll away for morning coffee and a bite of breakfast. After breakfast, visit the nearby museums, the Royal Albert Hall, or Hyde Park. The South Kensington station is a few minutes away on foot with Picadilly, Circle, or District lines to take you all around London. Or Heathrow when - sadly - it's time to leave.

Our hosts were friendly and easy to communicate with before during and after our stay. They've even compiled a list of recommendations for nearby pubs and restaurants. (A hint, there are quite a few.)

It's impossible to starve around this area and even if you don't pick up some food from the three local supermarkets, there are eateries here within walking distance which range from the simple pub, ethnic and British to the 2 star Michelin, state of the art restaurants to suit all palates and pockets. Great location, spatious, homey, delightful hosts

We so enjoyed our stay! We had 6 people (4 adults and 2 children). The apartment was very close to the South Kensington metro with great restaurants, several groceries, nice wine shops, and shopping within an easy walking distance (less than a mile). We cooked in 2 meals a day and ate out 1 generally. When we arrived our hosts had already stocked the fridge and kitchen with some nice food touches which was greatly appreciated. The lack of a dryer was not a problem as there is a nice drying rack. The shower in the hallway bathroom upstairs was a little confusing, and the linens were a little worn, but I would absolutely stay here again. The air conditioning was especially nice as you could turn it off and on easily and it cooled the space you were in quickly and to the temperature you wanted since the units were room specific. The apartment was clean and had a nice homey feeling. The only addition I would suggest is a baking sheet, as we tried to make scones out of the cook book in the living room and had to improvise when it came to a cookie sheet.

I agree with you I saw the torn pillow when we stripped the bed! My lady cleaner was horrified that she had not noticed when she put it on as it was a white and blue check and it melted in the pillow. we have bought a new duvet cover since then. I agree with you that a baking sheet is absolutely essential when you are making scones, I use one all the time and will add one in the kitchen ready for you to make scones when you come next time! (could we please have a taste !). We really enjoyed having you and your parents and look forward to receiving you again. Sonia

Great location and very nice

This is a perfect location for visiting London; close to South Kensington tube station. Neville and Sonia were perfect hosts and very helpful. The apartment is comfortable and having air conditioning during the heat spell was wonderful. I highly recommend staying there. The unit was updated and very clean.We would definitely stay there again.

Convenient and lovely

Our family of five (2 parents, 2 children + grandma) stayed for five days just recently. The location was convenient to the South Kensington tube station and we felt very safe. We could get just about anywhere we wanted within 10-20 minutes via the tube. There are a number of family friendly restaurants, grocery stores and museums nearby. The flat is large enough that we could each find our own space. We cooked breakfast most mornings and the kitchen had everything we needed. Sonja and Neville are lovely. We enjoyed chatting with them and really liked the fact that they live on-property. They kept an eye out for us and were always available to offer ideas and tips. We would definitely stay here again.

The area of South Kensington is the most vibrant for tourists with or without children with lovely paved areas around the station and museums full of life and restaurants. South Kensington station which has three different metro lines have a direct connection to Heathrow airport with the Piccadilly line and lots of buses and connects directly to many train lines. You can also walk to Knightsbridge (Harrods Harvey Nichols and many designer stores, or even to the west end should you love walking
