How many can say "we stayed in downtown Santa Fe"? Our casita (little house) is above the Turquoise Butterfly gallery and adjacent to our incredible courtyard and deck overlooking the Santa Fe River. Located two blocks from the plaza (the heart and soul of Santa Fe), our casita is close to so many great restaurants, galleries and shops. We are walking distance to Canyon Road and the Railyard, both stellar art districts. Speaking of walking distance, a gourmet grocery, fine wines and liquors is just up the block. And then there's the mountains and more high-desert landscapes just short day trips away. And don't forget Ski Santa Fe! Conde Nast Traveler ranked this ski resort #4 in Best Ski Resorts in the US and Canada. And Travel & Leisure said Santa Fe is one of the Top American Best Cities for Winter Travel! So come see what they are all talking about!
Let's talk about this casita a little more...Enter by climbing a mosaic art stairway and onto a private portal with flowers and tree tops.
Built in the early 1900’s, our place has old-world charm indicated by carved wood doors, tall ceilings, and hardwood floors. Open the door into a cozy, light filled room which has a skylight with wooden architectural highlights. An arched fireplace adorns your view with it's high mantel. Nice leather couch and TV with a small eating area are part of the charm of this room.
A beautiful master bedroom with a king size bed covered with Pendleton bedding and accented with old turquoise doors and a kiva fireplace welcomes you to a wonderful night’s sleep in the cool weather of Santa Fe. A third bedroom connects to this bedroom and has a beautiful Queen size bed. Off of this bedroom is a lovely master bathroom with 2 petrified wood sinks and a tub/shower combination and an alcove containing new Washer and Dryer available for your use!
The second bedroom has a four poster queen size bed. The second bathroom includes a lovely, spa quality large shower.
The kitchen has a full size refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, oven and microwave---all appliances are new! Handmade tiles of red and turquoise reflect Santa Fe colors and make the kitchen an inviting place to cook.
The casita is above an amazing gallery called the Turquoise Butterfly. In fact, many of the items from our gallery have made their way upstairs and our casita is furnished and decorated with them. If any of the items appeal to you, just ask our gallery staff. It is probably available for sale!
There is a private porch and deck where you can relax and enjoy just being here in Santa Fe. Best of all, there is a wonderful large courtyard next to you. The crystal quartz fountain in the courtyard is very beautiful and the sound of falling water will take your stress away! This place is "oh, so Santa Fe" so book it today!

I owned a gallery in Cloudcroft called the Copper Butterfly that burned to the ground in 2010. It was filled with different types of amazing art and it was a devastating loss. I waited 2 years to decide if I should open a gallery again, and I missed it so much. So we went to Santa Fe where we loved to visit and began to look. What we found was meant to be...the Casita Turquoise is an extension of our amazing art. Beautiful furnishings, great art, and that "Santa Fe" feel.

This property was not for sale when I made my husband stop and look at it. It was lonely and vacant, and I knew it had a story. We found the owners, told them our story, and the rest is history! The building is so unique with its old doors, fireplaces, and rooms that wander. The rooms are adorned with art from the store and so it is not only a place to stay, but it is a show place! Santa Fe is so full of art, history, culture, food, and wine which makes it a great place to visit---and our casita the best place to stay!
Casita Turquoise is in such a great location right in the downtown area. With the Santa Fe River and park right across the street, it is a nice place to just sit and people watch. The building is historic, with high ceilings, vigas, adobe plaster with bit of hay in it, but yet with all the modern conveniences! The full kitchen makes it nice to have breakfast right out your door or in the courtyard. Casita Turquoise is in walking distance of just about everything! Restaurants, the Plaza, Canyon Road, the Railyard, Museums, the State Capitol, and all of the hotels. Plus, shopping right below and all around! You will love the beautifully decorated southwestern décor and everything will make you comfortable!
Beautiful property close to numerous shops and restaurants! Felt like we were at home!!
This place was even better than the pictures. I loved all the decorative touches, like the intricately carved wooden door frames. It is within walking distance of the plaza and the Loretto Chapel, with the famous miraculous staircase that I always try to see when I am in Santa Fe. What a fantastic property!
Easy checkin, nice host who was available but we never needed contact. The apartment is as pictured, and served our family well. We liked being able to walk everywhere and appreciated the washer/dryer for a load before heading home. We would stay here again, thank you!
Perfect place to stay in Santa Fe - In the middle of downtown, close to everything and really cool. I would stay here hands down every time. Way better than a hotel. Bernadette was great too!
My four friends and I just spent two nights at this unique home located in the heart of where you want to be. We were able to walk to Canyon Road, the Railyard District, and all around downtown. The ladies were wonderful to work with and were very accommodating. They also provided great suggestions of things to do and places to eat. My only recommendation is that this place would be most suitable for 4 friends, two couples, or a family. There's a nice sitting room, but no one could get comfortable on the pull out. The living room couch is larger, but then the sunlight from the skylight provided a very early wake up call. You also have to walk thru a bedroom to get to one of the two bathrooms. I would definitely stay again the next time I'm in Santa Fe!
This was our second stay at the charming Casita Turquoise. It's combination of location, charm and privacy are perfect for a long weekend in Santa Fe. We love the outdoor seating, especially in the morning with coffee and the newspaper. This property is on our list for a return visit, for sure.
This casita is located right in the historic downtown area where all the shopping, restaurants, museums, events, festivals, and so much more are! This is the place to be when you are in Santa Fe. The art, the history, and the culture are amazing and this casita is in the heart of it all! Located in a historic building with old doors, wood floors, kiva fireplaces and more! There are restaurants on each corner, the oldest house and oldest church one block away, the Inn of the Loretto is just steps away and the La Fonda is one block away. The Loretto Chapel with the mysterious staircase is right around the corner, and the Santa Fe River is across the street. The State Capitol is one block away and you can walk to the plaza in 2 minutes. Adjoining the Casita is a beautiful 10,000 sf courtyard with a crystal quartz fountain that flows continuously. Spinning minerals, beautiful flowers, and a view of the locals. Cant find a better place!
