The Whaler is located in the heart of Kaanapali Beach where shops, restaurants, golf courses and beach activities are just around the corner! No car needed to enjoy your vacation since everything is walking distance from the condominium.

This beautiful one bedroom and two bath non-smoking OCEANFRONT condominium (941 sqft) is one of the best locations within the resort! It's located just on the 2nd floor facing directly to the beach and ocean! Given it's location the pool, beach and other amenities are just a few steps away! The condo (unit 251 in Tower II) has a kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, private washer/dryer, and much more! The unit has a king-size bed as well as a sofa bed and can accommodate up to four persons. Enjoy the breathtaking, unobstructed ocean view right from your own personal wrap around lanai (additional 408 sqft)!

This is definitely the perfect paradise for your Hawaiian vacation!

Great property, would definitely recommend!

Everything was great during our stay here. Great condo, plenty of space, and the wraparound balcony was perfect. Unobstructed ocean and beach view, great views. Whaler property is well maintained and comfortable, including the pool and hot tub area. Lots of shops and restaurants within close walking distance. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting.

This is the third time that we’ve stayed in your beautiful condo. We enjoy the many benefit seniors of the close proximity to Whalers village. The friendly family vibe that The Whaler has is exactly what we like and the fact that you have one of the most beautiful condo locations there makes it even better. Great location and unit but be aware...

1) There is some construction going on at the Whaler's Village. They do a VERY good job of noise control, but still, there is noise.

2) One early morning, there are sand trucks driving up and down the beach pre-dawn doing anti-erosion work which is badly needed. But you have trucks on the beach at 5 in the AM! This happened only one morning. So I think this may be a once a week thing.

3) Leilani's restaurant in the Whaler's Village is currently closed for remodeling. This puts pressure on the other two restaurants, Hula Grill and Monkeypod. Reservations a night in advance are a very good idea.

4) The drive from the airport into Kaanapali is a big mess during the day during the week. Makes LA traffic look good. Things narrow down to one lane in Lahaina and the backup just plain sucks. Plan accordingly. Avoid if you can. Traffic was much better, but still not good, during the weekend.

But the whales performed for us from our patio pretty much every morning. The unit was marvelous and the view...well, we just turned the patio into our dining area frequently. And two food tips:

1) In the food court in Whaler's Village is a small place called Joey's Kitchen. Get food there and bring it back to the best seat in the house, your patio. Joey's MacNut pancakes and short rib hash were great for breakfast. The kalau pork fried rice, pork ramen and shortrib/shrimp combo was great for lunch or dinner. Very good, very reasonable and right next door.

2) On your drive in from the airport, stop at Leoda's. It's before you get to Lahaina. Pick up some small pies for your fridge for instant, wonderful desserts. The banana cream and lime pies were especially good.

And Monkey Pod has the best Mai Tai's.

We had a great time and the unit is great, but if you are using the unit in the near future, you should be aware of these issues outside the unit that can impact your stay.

Best location!

The Whaler is a perfect location in Ka'anapali. It's close to everything, easy to get in/out. Other resorts along the walkway (to try other restaurants). The building and grounds are very clean and well kept and the staff is super friendly and helpful. There is a resort fee of $20/day but they have chairs, towels, etc to use.
