Book Early Spring/Summer SPECIAL Rate of $149 per night - Sleeps 10

Bedrooms 2
Separate WC's1
Space 1,650 sq ft
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

Visit Roslyn! Short walk to the Cle Elum River and Lake. Tons of recreation!

Low rate of $149 rate per night for 2 nights. Sleeps 10.

The cabin is in a lovely neighborhood, and surrounded by a small forest. It is only a few miles to Roslyn, and only a few miles to Lake Speeyli beach, the mountains and National Forest.

Every recreation you would want to do practically is available in the area. From snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snowshoeing or building snowmen/women in the winter, to hiking, biking, fishing, rafting, swimming, jet skiing, boating and more in the summer.

It is a recreation paradise, or just great to visit for a relaxing stay in nature.

During snowy months, snow plowing the driveway is occasionally needed, because it can snow 1 to 3 feet in a few hours. To keep my rental rates low, I only charge for that service if it is needed by charging you upfront a "Snow Plowing" fee of $50 maximum per day, which will be refunded after your stay if no plowing is needed.

Peaceful and beautiful semi-private surroundings,

Very well stocked cabin, with practically everything you will need during your stay for cooking or relaxing. Spices, plenty of utensils and cookware, and extra sheets and towels.

Three queen beds, and family friendly with 4 bunks for the kids or smaller adults.

Plenty of parking, and room for a few RV's even, with outdoor electrical hookup. Extra guest fee applies if extra guest are using an RV to stay in.

Near the mountains, one half mile from the Cle Elum River, and a few miles to Lake Cle Elum, there is plenty to do, including visiting Roslyn, and tons of outdoor recreation activities, including hiking, golfing (Suncadia), mountain biking, dirt bike riding, fishing, boating, rafting, and all the winter outdoor activities like snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross country skiing.

The nightly rate is for two people. There is a $10 charge per night for additional guests after the first two guests.

Get away to have a fun, relaxing for a few days in the peaceful surroundings of Ronald, located a few miles from Roslyn..

My cabin sits in a quiet and relaxing semi-private setting, with the National Forest, rivers and Lake Cle Elum minutes away either walking or driving.

Practically any type of outdoor activity is available, including snowmobiling, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, boating and swimming in Lake Cle Elum (summer only for swimming), snowmobiling, dirt bike or off road vehicle use, historical site seeing, rafting, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, or just getting away and visiting Roslyn, a historic coal mining town.

During the winter, please check pass and road conditions prior to departure, as at times, the snow can be very heavy at the cabin, and over the passes. The cabin is very accessible during the winter, as the roads in my neighborhood are plowed by the county as needed. During heavy snowfall, it may take some time for the county plows to plow the neighborhood, but it is always done that day, usually earlier than later.

Families, groups, couples or friends wanting to get away together LOVE my cabin! Check reviews!

Family friendly, with 4 bunks kids love! (Not toddler/child safety proof).

This cabin is located in Ronald Washington, just a few miles north of Roslyn and Cle Elum.

***Please see information on renting my cabin in the WINTER below.

The cabin sleeps a maximum of 10. The cabin has 3 queen size beds and 4 bunks. The bunks are suitable for children or adults 175'ish pounds or lighter.

There is also room for at least 3 RV's, trailer/campers or motor-homes on the property grounds.

The upper floor includes a main bedroom with queen size bed, living room with a queen size hide-a-bed, propane burning fireplace.

The lower level includes 4 twin size bunks, one comfortable queen size fold down bed, with heated floors to keep everyone toasty warm..

Both levels have bathrooms. The main level has tub and shower. The lower level has a toilet, wash basin and clothes washer and dryer.

The property is on .75 acres and includes enough room for two to three RV's or campers.

Full size deck with barbecue. Outdoor fire pit.

It is in a prime location to access snowmobile, hiking, off road vehicle riding trailheads, mountain biking, fishing, cross country skiing, and Lake Cle Elum is 2 miles away for all kinds of lake activities, including boating, skiing, water craft and more. (Google Lake Cle Elum's Speelyi Beach)

It is also less than a mile from the Cle Elum River (easy walk) and a National Forest Campground along the river, that is seldom used.

The Teanaway Community Forest is less than 2 miles away.

Salmon la Sac is 14 miles north on highway 903. There you can find snowmobile parks, hikes, fishing locations, rafting, kayaking, dual sport motorcycle roads and jeep trails, off road single track trail heads, hunting and many other recreational activities.

Four wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicles HIGHLY recommended!

Snowfall in the winter can be unpredictable. Please check the forecast before making reservations, or be prepared for winter driving conditions. HEAVY snow possible. Driveway will be plowed if needed. Snowblower available too. (See instructions posted in cabin for "snowblower.") Winter driving conditions may exist, and 4 wheel or all wheel vehicles may be required, as there is often snow and ice on the roads. "Usually," once out of the neighborhood, highway 903 is clear of snow and ice, and leads directly to interstate 90. If going west on I-90 to Seattle, be sure and check conditions on Snoqualmie Pass before traveling. There is only one minor hill up and down to my neighborhood in the valley from the highway. Other than that, it is a level and easy drive in snow all the way from Interstate 90.

About Steve

My family has had a cabin in the area around Salmon la Sac since 1890. I am carrying on the tradition. I have been coming over here from Western Washington since I was 2 years old, so my love for the natural beauty of nature and the ability to get outdoors and enjoy it have always made this area special for me and my family. The area is a recreation heaven, in that there are so many things you can do, in so many very close places to the cabin. The town of Roslyn, with the oldest tavern in Washington, The Brick, is worth the visit itself.

Steve purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Steve chose Ronald

It is located in the heart of where most of the recreation area is located, including the Teanaway Community Forest, Salmon la Sac snowparks for snowmobiling, cross country skiing, and many other single track trail systems for riding mountain bikes, off road motorcycles, and hiking. Snowmobile, ORV riding (dirt bike, dual sport motorcycle, quad, ATV), fishing, hiking, mountain biking, rafting, kayaking, and much more recreation activities are very close to the cabin. Access to snowmobiling right from the cabin. It sits on .75 acres, and has room for RV's if you want a larger party than the cabin accommodates.

Local history and shops make Roslyn and Cle Elum fun to visit and shop in. In the summer, Roslyn has a Farmers Market on Sunday.

The Cle Elum River, and Lake Cle Elum are minutes away. You can walk or drive to the river or lake. The river is a little over a mile away, and has a swimming hole to cool off in.

Hundreds of miles of hiking, mountain biking and dirt bike riding trails are all around my property. The Alpine Lake Wilderness is less than 15 miles away, and offers some of the best hiking in the state.

The cabin is in a very quiet neighborhood, and is very peaceful and serene.

What makes this cabin unique

Hike, snowmobile, ride legal ORV or dual sport motorcycles, cross country ski, snowshoe, and fish directly or within minutes from the cabin, along with many other recreation activities. In one of the nicest neighborhoods in the upper county of Kittitas.

A peaceful and quiet neighborhood. "A little piece of heaven" is what our neighborhood and area has been described as.

Close to the mountains, with access to the National Forest only a few miles away.

The cabin is set on a semi private lot, surrounded by a small forest. In the summer or winter, on a clear night, the stars are very visible, and beautiful to sit or sleep out on the deck to enjoy.

The downstairs has radiant heated floors, which make it VERY warm and toasty, especially after a cold day out playing in the snow.

A surround sound theater is also nice for watching a movie after a fun day of being in the outdoors.

Great Family Getaway Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is perfect for multiple families. We have 2 children and went with another family with 2 children. The downstairs has an entertainment system, foosball, chairs, a small sofa, and 4 bunks that fold out, (which the kids loved)! The upstairs has 2 sofas, a bedroom with a queen bed, and plenty of room for air mattresses. There is a full kitchen, and 1 1/2 bathrooms. It is also pet friendly! Great family getaway cabin to enjoy snow and sun!!

Fantastic Cabin Getaway (two families)

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four plus our friends family of five stayed at this cabin and had a wonderful time! It was well-stocked and Steve was a most attentive and generous host! We are hoping to come back again and stay in his cabin...maybe a yearly tradition.

Thank you Steve! We will be back again!

Cozy, spacious, and a great deal.

  • 5 of 5

Steve, the owner, was super responsive via email from the very beginning, even before I had confirmed a reservation. His thorough and timely communication was definitely a factor in choosing this property.

I had a group of 20 adult friends on a snowshoe getaway weekend and, as you can imaging, it's very difficult finding accommodations for that many people. Steve worked with us and made sure the cabin would suit our needs. The main downstairs sleeping/lounging area was VERY spacious and there was plenty of space for all our air mattresses and sleeping pads.

The upstairs' open kitchen/living room layout was great so that everyone could be hanging out in the living room and the people cooking dinner could still be a part of the action. We didn't know it beforehand, but all the food and supplies in the pantry was "use whatever you like." This was a huge life-saver because we forgot to bring plastic wrap and tin foil, and some different spices for our food. There was even a collection of liquor bottles leftover from previous guests that we ended up adding to! Not a bad surprise to find upon check-in!

All-in-all, this cabin was great for our very large group and Steve was very accommodating with everything, from the low price, to helpful info about snowshoeing in the area. This place is all set up for large groups, so do not hesitate to book this location.

Thanks again, Steve!

Owner's Response: Thank you for such a thoughtful review! I really appreciate how such a large group like yours of 20 people took such great care of my cabin! I really felt respected as a vacation rental owner having everyone pitch in so that when my house cleaner got here it was as if only a few people had stayed. I would love to have you come back and you're certainly welcome to come back anytime! Thanks again! Steve

Great getaway with family and friends in a cozy cabin retreat, love the location!

  • 5 of 5

Steve was great, very responsive over email and wanted to make sure our needs were met. We have a wonderful time at the cozy cabin nestled in the woods surrounded by snow. Very comfortable stay for 2 families with kids. Lots of cooking and bathroom amenities available and even a child proof gate at the top of the stairs for our toddlers- which was awesome! We enjoyed sledding and going on walks around the neigborhood and afterwards warmed up by the fire in the comfortable living area. We will gladly stay again and recommend this place. We had a fun New Years weekend getaway from the city!!! Thanks for a memorable weekend with our family and friends!!

A great place to stay that can accommodate many.

  • 5 of 5

Steve's place was a wonderful time! It is right in the middle of nature, close to several lakes and rivers. I stayed there with seven other guys for my brother's bachelor party and we all slept comfortably. Friday night we just hung out on the deck. Saturday morning we went into Ronald and had breakfast at the Old no. 3 Bar and Lounge (about five minutes away). We then went and hung out at Lake Cle Elum. Saturday night we had dinner at the cabin (Steve has everything you need as far as utensils and plates). We then took a ride service to The Brick in Roslyn (maybe ten minutes away) and watched live music. The ride service brought us back (the number of the service is on The Brick's website, it is very inexpensive). Everything was great. Good shower, two bathrooms, bbq, big t.v.'s, a stereo that we could hook our ipad up to, wireless internet... There was a nice fire pit at the place too. Unfortunately there was a burn band so we couldn't use it, but we had a propane fire pit that gave us a flame to sit around. The cabin was very aesthetically pleasing and looked to have good craftsmanship. Getting into the place and leaving was very hassle free. My refund was processed the next day. I would recommend it!
