We are two sisters with a great love of nature and spending time together with family and friends. This is our way to accomplish both goals and hope you will enjoy the serenity we have.
Terri Ramsey purchased this house in 2010
This is not just a rental but our personal cabin which we have opened for others to enjoy. The original owner lovingly designed and built the home as his retirement destination before love took him to Hungary to be with his wife. You will feel all of the special touches that make this a special place. My sister and I purchased it because of our love of the outdoors, the peace and calm that nature provides, and being able to share time with family and friends.. The home is located a short distance between three of the most beautiful state parks you will find in East Tennessee. The house has everything you will need for a memorable stay that will surely bring you and your family back a second time.
Travelers will enjoy a unique quality vacation with their loved ones or a romantic getaway with each other. The cabin is luxurious, comfortable well equipped with everything you will need and well suited for those who are seeking adventure as well as peaceful mountain surrounds that inspire awe. Wildlife is abundant in the area and is best viewed while either sipping coffee on the front porch in the morning or while driving through one of the lovely state parks nearby with your family.
Whether used as a base camp or secluded hideaway, this cabin will not disappoint! For our family it was a base camp for exploring the area. We stayed over the long Thanksgiving weekend; enjoying hiking and a holiday meal at nearby Fall Creek Falls State Park (the falls were dry) a 'day after' ranger led hike on the downstream trail at Rock Island State Park (the falls were running) and ventured to the Chattanooga riverwalk on Saturday. It was good to return to the cabin each afternoon, with its large windows looking out into the nearby woods. The leaves had fallen off most the trees on the property, but seeing the structure of the woods is no less impresive this close up. We kept warm in the evening with the great wood stove in the living room, and the ample supply of wood provided. We were somewhat disappointed with the outdoor fire ban, but the glass door on the wood stove made for a good visual experiencre. There was plenty of counter space and assorted kitchen gadgetry available, including a dishwasher, for our meal making. Our beds were very comfortable and the bedding was of good quality providing everyone a good nights rest. All the sleeping areas offer a view across the deck into the woods each morning. There were plenty of towels for bathing in any of the three baths, as well as the outdoor sauna. Having a washer and dryer available was nice. We appreciate the thought that Randy put into building the cabin, as well as the generosity of Terri in continuing to share this special place with others.
We were very pleased with the cabin. It was clean and very comfortable. Would rent again when in the area
This was a great home for our family to meet. We had family coming from multiple locations and we love the layout of the home with split bedroom floor plan and three great bathrooms. The clawfoot tub in the master bedroom was beautiful. The beds are very comfortable.
I would highly recommend this home!!
Perfect for larger groups, home is very private and is stocked with everything you need. The only things you need to bring is personal items and food. There was some games which occupied our younger people. We dined on the deck several evenings. It's so perfect. It was so nice to be able to wash our clothing before leaving, because it's tiring after vacation to go home unpack and wash up. The owner and keepers were so nice to check in on us and ask if everything was okay and if we were enjoying ourselfs , it's also a tremendous value for larger groups and we were also so thankful to bring our fur babies. We're hoping to get booked in for years to come.
Nice, clean, private cottage with all amenities as listed on well-maintained property. The owner/manager representative was timely and thorough in communication. Great area for dogs to walk about and stretch legs. We spent our entire two days at the property to relax though we didn't make it to the sauna. We did find that the highway noise is a bit loud with trucks downshifting and with periods of heavy traffic. We've dropped the rating from 5 to 4 for only that reason. Perhaps a fountain in the front would help drown out that noise. Would recommend this property all the same.
we had a great time for the short time we were there. the place was very clean wish we could have stayed longer the only thing i would suggest would be to put more silverware as 3 tea spoons are not enough and change the check out time to 10:00 thank you for letting us rent your cabin
