large six person outdoor table with sun umbrella and chairs, four log rocking chairs and four super comfy, 'zero gravity' reclining chairs to relax in on the lawn. Close to major shopping and restaurants in Dunlap, Sparta, Soddy Daisy and Chattanooga.

Fine dining, night clubs, sea aquarium, museum and attractions offered in downtown Chattanooga, only 45 minutes away.

About Terri Ramsey

We are two sisters with a great love of nature and spending time together with family and friends. This is our way to accomplish both goals and hope you will enjoy the serenity we have.

Terri Ramsey purchased this house in 2010

Why Terri Ramsey chose Tennessee

This is not just a rental but our personal cabin which we have opened for others to enjoy. The original owner lovingly designed and built the home as his retirement destination before love took him to Hungary to be with his wife. You will feel all of the special touches that make this a special place. My sister and I purchased it because of our love of the outdoors, the peace and calm that nature provides, and being able to share time with family and friends.. The home is located a short distance between three of the most beautiful state parks you will find in East Tennessee. The house has everything you will need for a memorable stay that will surely bring you and your family back a second time.

What makes this house unique

Travelers will enjoy a unique quality vacation with their loved ones or a romantic getaway with each other. The cabin is luxurious, comfortable well equipped with everything you will need and well suited for those who are seeking adventure as well as peaceful mountain surrounds that inspire awe. Wildlife is abundant in the area and is best viewed while either sipping coffee on the front porch in the morning or while driving through one of the lovely state parks nearby with your family.

We had a great time. The cabin was very nice, clean, private, and comfortable and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our stay. Its proximity to great hikes and parks was a nice bonus and the kids and dog very much enjoyed playing in the yard and on the deck.

Beautiful and thoughtfully-appointed home away from home

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect place for my 2-month temporary business assignment. It was private; kitchen had all I needed to prepare meals; master bath is exquisite. Nice, secluded neighborhood for running. Easy access to Savage Gulf and Fall Creek Falls State Parks.

This cabin is the absolute best ever!! When the former owner sold it to the new owners, always a little mindful of change but they are fantastic and have added some character of their own to the home!! Thanks for continuing to share this lovely home!! Happy New Year!!

Captivating Comfortable Cozy Cumberland Cabin

  • 5 of 5

Whether used as a base camp or secluded hideaway, this cabin will not disappoint! For our family it was a base camp for exploring the area. We stayed over the long Thanksgiving weekend; enjoying hiking and a holiday meal at nearby Fall Creek Falls State Park (the falls were dry) a 'day after' ranger led hike on the downstream trail at Rock Island State Park (the falls were running) and ventured to the Chattanooga riverwalk on Saturday. It was good to return to the cabin each afternoon, with its large windows looking out into the nearby woods. The leaves had fallen off most the trees on the property, but seeing the structure of the woods is no less impresive this close up. We kept warm in the evening with the great wood stove in the living room, and the ample supply of wood provided. We were somewhat disappointed with the outdoor fire ban, but the glass door on the wood stove made for a good visual experiencre. There was plenty of counter space and assorted kitchen gadgetry available, including a dishwasher, for our meal making. Our beds were very comfortable and the bedding was of good quality providing everyone a good nights rest. All the sleeping areas offer a view across the deck into the woods each morning. There were plenty of towels for bathing in any of the three baths, as well as the outdoor sauna. Having a washer and dryer available was nice. We appreciate the thought that Randy put into building the cabin, as well as the generosity of Terri in continuing to share this special place with others.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience. We love that you had a great time and were able to enjoy some of the beauty of the area. My sister and I were finally able to enjoy our first weekend there since purchasing the cabin from Randy. We added another couch and some cozy throw blankets, a bigger TV, and a larger dining table to make it easier for large groups to enjoy the fellowship with their family and friends. New pictures will be uploaded shortly!!
