Do not like being duped!!!!

We have just returned home from a weeks’ stay. I really do not know where to start.

As everyone else says in their reviews, yes Isabel was a very nice lady.

However, what no one likes is being duped!!

Upon arrival Isabel showed us around the apartment then left. We realised that the apartment we were in was NOT the one on her Home Away page that was number 25 next door. The furnishings were similar but there it ends.

Most of the items of crockery in the kitchen had large chips in them. We found two plates and two dishes that didn’t have any so used them all the time. Only one electric socket in the kitchen next to the sink on a part of the worktop that is about 6 inches deep. Was very dangerous when the kettle was switched on being so close to the sink.

The bathroom was appalling. The white shower curtain across the shower cubicle was full of black mould marks. It was so close to the toilet you could sit on it and put your feet in the shower. I have never in my 63 years seen a shower cubicle in such a condition. The mould around the shower tray and on the tiles was horrendous. It was so off putting that I only used it once as I used to use the shower adjacent the swimming pool.

The balcony door did not shut properly, there was a 300mm crack in the glass which is dangerous. When I rang Isabel about it she said she was aware but that it wasn’t a problem. There was a gap between the wall and the balcony door from the top to half way down. This meant it did not stop noise from the pool below nor more importantly, we could not lock it. Isabel told us that there wasn’t a safe in the room and when we told her of our concerns regarding the door not locking and the safety of our money, passports etc. she said not to worry as she has had the apartment for several years without any problems.

In the description it says that it is a one bedroom apartment. It was an alcove off the sitting room with sliding curtain panels and no windows. There was no air conditioning but a fan above the bed. This we could not use as the noise from it was terrible.

Overall we did not have a good time at this apartment as the state of it and the duplicity of the owner totally ruined it for us. We did not cause a scene on leaving but I did ask Isabel if she owned the apartment next door. She looked a little surprised but said yes, but that it was the same as the one we had been in. Owner's Response: Siento mucho que la estancia no haya sido de su agrado. Cuando le entregué las llaves pareció estar de acuerdo con todo. Es una pena que nunca me hayan llamado. Llevo 10 años alquilando el piso y siempre he tenido muy buena relación y muy buenas opiniones de mis inquilinos. Algunos vuelven cada año. Siempre he procurado ayudar a los inquilinos si necesitaban algo. Y cuando me sugieren alguna mejora procuro hacerla. Es cierto que no hay aire acondicionado. Aunque lo pondré para el próximo verano.

Great location, ideal apartment for 2

The location was perfect for the beach and close to shops and restaurants. Isabel was very pleasant and helpful. WiFi was installed during our stay which was very useful. Apartment was ideal for 2 people and the gardens were excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and would return again. Walter

A perfect place to stay

Isabel greeted us as soon as we got out of our taxi and took us to her lovely apartment. The apartment was as described, extremely clean with all the items needed for a stress free holiday. We did not use the pool simply because there was so much to do in the area. Would book again.

perfect apartment

The location was perfect and accurate, The layout of the apartment was as described which was great, Facilities within the apartment were in working order and more than adequate.

It was very clean and well maintained, The owner gave excellent customer services was very approachable and helpful.

We would most definitely recommended this apartment to any family members and friends.

All activities, restaurant, bus stops etc. were on our door step perfect location !!

Great location.

The apartment is very clean, garden is beautiful perfect for sunbathing, bed is extremely comfortable. Gates are locked so very secure. You won't be disappointed if u book here. Restaurants and shops within walking distance. Beach across the road. Great price for a great location. The owner Isabel is lovely to deal with.

Great apartment, great location

We have stayed here previously and, as last time, everything was great. The apartment is in a great location - near to the beach/restaurants and bars. The apartment is extremely clean and the complex gardens are well looked after . Isabel is a lovely lady who is extremely helpful. We are planning our next break there.
