This “Victorian-Modern” (1892 on the outside 2012 on the inside) flat is exceptionally clean and comfortable. It is a ground floor apartment and a larger and more elegant version of 473 Clarence, which is the upstairs apartment featured in Ad 457131. Like the upstairs suite, this apartment features three, well-spaced bedrooms with brand new queen beds and linens.

If both apartments are available, together they can accommodate up to 12 people.

There are two full bathrooms - one with a 6 ft tub and the other with a custom glass shower enclosure.

The brand-new, eat-in kitchen is well stocked with enough dishes, glassware, serve ware, pots and pans to feast with friends and/or family.

There is a gas range, a dishwasher and an automatic espresso machine.

The living room has a new flat screen television, cable and a functioning gas fireplace. The apartment has wi-fi.

There is a formal dining room with a large glass table and seating for 8

There is a nice place to sit and watch the world go by on the front porch. There is also a large, private, covered porch out the back door off the kitchen. The rear porch is well-lit and furnished with a table and comfortable seating.

475 Clarence is comfortable in both winter and summer. It also has its own furnace, central air conditioner and thermostat. Every bedroom has a ceiling fan.

There are only two steps up to the front door to 475 Clarence and so this apartment may be suitable for people with mobility issues.

Parliament Hill, the Central Business District, the University of Ottawa, the historic Byward Market, the National Gallery, DFAIT, DND HQ, Rideau Falls, Rideau Hall and other destinations can easily be reached in less than 30 minutes on foot in any weather.

Transit is also available: major transit routes serving Ottawa and with connections to Gatineau are located on the next corner at Cobourg St. The property has excellent access to the Macdonald-Cartier Intraprovincial Bridge to Gatineau, Highways 5 North and 50 East.

Neighborhood amenities (within 15 minute walk) include 2 indoor pools (one is a 2 minute walk), a public, outdoor NHL-sized skating rink, the Rideau River path system for running/walking, two major grocery stores, specialty shops and restaurants in the Byward Market and New Edinburgh, an independent movie theatre, and more.

Fantastic! Every detail taken care of!

Our family of 6 (2 adults, 1 grandma & 3 kids) stayed in this beautiful duplex for 5 nights around Remembrance Day 2017. We were very impressed with many things. The communication prior to our arrival was awesome - Allison sent a note to see if we needed a stroller or any other baby gear. She also sent a note once we arrived to ensure everything was OK. The home itself was thoughtfully and beautifully decorated - it is rare to see such pride in a "rental" property. The kitchen was stocked was a great selection of basic food items but was also very well stocked with appliances and cooking tools. My husband & mother-in-law loved the coffee maker and I appreciated a full set of kitchen knives. We walked to Parliament several days, stopping at the shops in the Byward Market for a coffee along the way. Our kids loved the selection of books and the playground up the road. The home was quiet, comfortable and a great layout for families. Overall, it was a fantastic place to stay for our visit to Ottawa!

Beautiful flat in Ottawa

The flat in close to everything in Ottawa (dining in Bytown, museums, Canadian Parliment)! It is decorated very nicely offering all of the comforts of home making you feel like a local during your vacation. Allison is very attentive to her guests, she even brought over soup when one of our crew got a cold!! Wonderful trip-wonderful experience thank you Allison!!

Great rental in Ottawa

This house is a real gem. It's in diamond condition and the owner is just great. She provided suggestions for everything from entertainment to restaurants. She is always available for any questions. The house is close proximity to down town and yet in a quiet neighborhood. It's the perfect combination of relaxation and excitement. It's also well set up for families with young children. This house is worth more than the rental cost.

5 Star Accommodation!

Home was immaculate, beautifully decorated and well equipped. It was extremely quiet in the evenings which was great for sleeping. We were able to walk downtown to major attractions and restaurants, yet return to a less hectic environment at the end of the day. Allison

was great to communicate with and very helpful with advice about restaurants and the neighbourhood. Since we were driving we were able to bring our food necessities with us but her policy of leaving basic provisions for breakfast, snacks etc. would be so welcoming for visitors who fly or arrive late at night. I have already spread the word about this fantastic home to friends and relatives. We would definitely return on our next trip to Ottawa!
