This is where you want to stay!

  • 5 of 5

My mom has always wanted to visit this part of Florida, so my husband, toddler, and I took her. With a toddler and my mom in tow, we wanted separate sleeping areas, but didn't want to pay for a hotel. Plus, anyone that has ever stayed in a hotel with a toddler knows you have 2 options: go to bed early when the toddler does, or else sit in the dark. We were able to get him down for the night and enjoy tv in the other rooms. This rental was perfect for us!

We appreciate being able to cook our own food on vacation due to food issues with the toddler. This kitchen was well appointed for all of our needs and my husband was happy to find propane in the grill and made our dinner most nights.

The linens in the bathrooms and bedrooms were fresh and fluffy. (Including towels for the beach!) The washer and dryer were both used and in great condition. The decorations were bright and cheery.

Our toddler enjoyed the native lizards everywhere, the sand toys, and the ability to play at the beach everyday. We also took easy day trips to see the Minnesota Twins' spring training facility, the Mote Marine Laboratory and aquarium, Sanibel Island, and to the outlet malls for shopping.

We prefer to be away from big cities on vacation and this location was perfect for our needs. Easy highway access, but not in a busy area. We found everything we needed nearby including pharmacy, grocery stores, etc.

The rental owner was quick to respond to all of our questions, and our damage deposit was refunded quickly.

Our favorite night was Saturday night at Nokomis Beach. Go watch a very fun group of people with drums "drum down the sun" at sunset on Saturday nights. Lots of dancing too!

We hope to visit again! If you are still wondering about this rental, I'm not sure why. Book it!

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay in this house was perfect for our family. The house was absolutely clean, organized and comfortably furnished. The owner responded very quickly to any questions we had before our stay. The house is decorated beautifully and the TV's in every room was very nice perk. It is on a quiet street, easy to get go & very close to several beaches (especially Nokomis Beach), activities, shopping, and restaurants. We especially enjoyed the fact that they had beach towels, umbrellas, other beach items available for our use. We loved the outdoor shower & used it nearly every day. So much more convenient, affordable and relaxed than staying in a hotel room. If you stay here, we highly recommend going to Pop's Restaurant and Captain Charlie's fishing trips. Highly recommend this home & the owner! We hope to stay here again in the future.

Great!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great experience staying at this house! It was very clean and comfortably furnished. You can tell the owners really put in thought and effort in remodeling the home and making it modern and comfortable. The big screen TV is an awesome perk and there are TVS in every room! The house is close to multiple beaches and anywhere else you'd want to go. We also loved the outdoor shower which was perfect for washing off sand when back from the beach. We used it every day! The owner was also very helpful and great with communication and helping us with all of our questions. This home gets an A+ in my book! Hope to be able to visit again.

Exactly as advertised

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here in April and couldn't have been happier. Prior to arrival the owner was extremely flexible and responsive with any questions or request we had. Upon arrival the home was clean, furnished nicely and exactly as it was pictured online. Neighborhood is quite and home is close to everything. After sending our refund deposit back the owner checked in a few days after just to ensure we had received it. If you are a family you will find this house is MUCH more convenient, relaxing then any hotel can offer you. Comforts of home at a price that is so worth it. Enjoy your stay.

Nokomis Treasure

  • 5 of 5

This beach home is a great find. We felt so lucky to find this home for winter. The house has fresh paint, new floors, appliances, beds, and huge TVs in every room. Thomas has thought of everything and has decorated this "cottage" so cute. The location is great...very close to Many beaches and the neighborhood is great for walking with all the beautiful tree lined streets. Some of our favorite things: fishing off the jetty, looking for sharks teeth at Caspersen Beach, going to the dog beach, going to Siesta Key , and eating at great restaurants including...MI Pueblo, Waterpointoo, and going to Detwilers farmers market for fresh shrimp and produce. Thomas is a wonderful landlord who is quick to take care of our needs. If you are lucky enough to come to this rental, you will see why we want to return again and again.

Owner's Response: I'm so glad you've enjoyed your stay thus far in my beach vacation home. It's been a delight getting to you know! I'm elated you are so incredibly happy with the accommodations! The Waterfrontoo restaurant is one of my favorite local spots too. It's hard to not enjoy anything from their grill! I'm also pleased the newly installed, extra long-hosed handheld wand at the exterior shower is adding to your convenience. Mary & Louie, you are welcome back anytime and I'm happy to consider you new friends!!! Tom
