Almijara 1-3. FULL AIRCON, PLUS FREE WI-FI. Three bed house: The villa/town house is located within walking distance of the town and the main Buriana beach. Located in a charming urbanisation with a large communal pool with a lifeguard in attendance most of the time. Also a small pool for young children. Would advise you to check with the lifeguard times that they are on duty.
Nerja, southern Spain: Nerja is on the seashore some 50 kilometres from Malaga, and marks the eastern tip of Spain's Costa del Sol. Once a sleepy village, the town now has a population of over 12,000.
Nerja boasts 16 kilometres of beaches with powdery sand and sparkling clear water. All major water sports are available here, including water skiing, scuba diving and sailing. Flanked by a dramatic mountain range, Sierra Almijara, to the east, the town has, fortunately, managed to avoid being blighted by the concrete high-rise scenario of other areas.
Nerja Historic Centre: The historic centre, than begins in the Balcón de Europa (Balcony of Europe), was constructed around 1487. Former 9th Century Castle, it is now a viewing point above the sea. To the side of the Balcón, you will find the 17th Century El Salvador Church, constructed in Baroque-Mudejar style. You may also visit the 16th Century Nuestra Señora de las Angustias Hermitage with its paintings by the master Alonso Cano...
Nerja Area.: Nerja retains its traditional festivals: the Fair, Holy Week (Easter), the San Isidro pilgrimage and the festivals of San Juan and Día del Carmen are also celebrated in their own special way. There are a wide range of cultural events throughout the year. Of particular note is the acclaimed “Nerja Caves Festival”, which takes place amongst stalactites and stalagmites, which were formed over millions of years.The Nerja Caves are currently the 3rd most visited monument in the whole of Spain.With its mild climate, you can enjoy yourself to the full all year round and take advantage of the relaxed way of life of a village that still retains much of the character of its moorish past. Today, Nerja offers an excellent range of quality accommodation and leisure time facilities. There are thirteen Kms. of beaches, including the internationally famous Burriana beach that has once again been awarded by the Blue Flag of the European Union and the small coves below the impressive cliffs of Maro.

The Mudéjar quarter of the Village of Frigiliana contains popular Arabic architectural structures of the purest origin which exist in the Province of Málaga.
It's the town most rewarded for it`s beauty in Axarquía.
In 1961 and 1967, it received respectively the First and the Second Award of Embellishment of the Towns of the County; in 1982 it gained the best reward of all with the First National Prize of Improvement and Embellishment of Towns in Spain. Six years later it obtained the First Prize of Improvement and Embellishment of Andalusian Towns.
At the moment, in the Old quarter of Frigiliana, we are in the process of forming a Historical Artistic Group.
This was a great holiday, lovely beaches, great atmosphere in the evenings at the balcon de Europa, lovely place to stay loads of room, house facilities were more than expected with dish washer and washing machine, air con and everything else you could wish for on holiday, Nerja town has a great environment , and plenty of restaurants too cater for everyone's taste I couldn't recommend a better to go on your holiday, also pool facilities are there for choosing during high season, although beaches are beautiful anyway with playgrounds on beach for children and plenty of eating falsities at a low cost. Also at the house there is an onsuit bathroom attached to the downstairs double bedroom which we found very useful, lovely neighbours also wheelchair accessible, so easy to drive if you were thinking about hiring a car, lots of attractions to see the caves are highly recommend and water park and lots of other places to visit.
Clean and well maintained. Abundance of fluffy towels, always a plus, everything you could possibibly need for a relaxing holiday. The manager Tony was very polite and helpful. Jiminez pizza place a short walk away did excellent food but further on at the Balcon I can highly recommend the large Tappas bar ( amazing) they could'nt do enough for us . We hired a car which was an advantage but not a necessity. A brilliant holiday can't wait to return THANKYOU !!! Definitely 5× have already recommended it to all I know.

The heart of Nerja is it's spectacular Balcon de Europa (The balcony of Europe), a magnificent promenade along the edge of a towering cliff, with sweeping panoramic views of the Mediterranean & the small coves and beaches below. There are plenty of restaurants & cafes in this town.
