About Priscilla Altimari

I was born and raised here in Colorado and grew up in this home. My wife and I decided to live here for the great skiing and the awesome , summers enjoying the mountain biking and rafting all of the local rivers.

Why Priscilla Altimari chose Breckenridge

My family built this home for a retreat in the mountains. We have always used it for skiing, mountain climbing, fishing and all of the great activities that Colorado offers.

What makes this chalet unique

One of the great things about this property is how secluded you feel yet being so close to down town Breckenridge. We get a lot of snow up here and when your snuggled up next to the fireplace on a snowy winter day you get the feeling that your snowed in and what a peaceful feeling that is.

Great secluded cabin!

  • 5 of 5

My family of 6 stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The cabin is very secluded and easily slept all of us in comfortable beds. It was very clean and the kitchen has everything you need. Yes, it only has 1 bathroom, but that was not an issue for us. We went mountain biking right off the driveway and there's a great trail for hiking or biking by just turning left leaving the house. The hot tub was awesome! The fall colors were amazing and we will definitely be returning!

Perfect Home for a Ski Retreat with Friends and Family

  • 5 of 5

Five of us stayed here the last week in February. One couple and three single guys. More than enough room for everyone to spread out and have their own place to sleep. The house is exactly as advertised. It is extremely comfortable, clean, the hot tub is great, etc. You are in a perfect location surrounded by forest and silence but can be back in town very quickly.

The owner is also very accommodating. Priscilla met us in town, led us back to the house, showed us how everything worked and was a pleasure to work with. We would go back in a minute.

Wonderful Experience!

  • 5 of 5

This chalet was a wonderful option for my son (16) and grandson (8). We wanted a 5 day winter escape; and this place offered it. Chalet was very clean, view was gorgeous, and the owners were extremely gracious. They made it a point to be available for any questions or suggestions.

I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a remote place with beautiful scenery and options.

Clean, comfortable house just out of town-Big savings!

  • 5 of 5

Priscilla’s chalet is a great option if you’re skiing or summer vacationing in Breckenridge. It’s about a 10 minute drive to the Gondola--maybe 3 miles if I had to guess. Breckenridge makes dropoffs easy-- there are plenty of spaces near the gondola. The driver can park very close for 15 minutes to unload ski gear before driving into the main lot to park the vehicle. Obviously, I’d rather stay on the mountain itself but the fact is that over the span of a week, you’d save about 1500 dollars by driving the ten minutes into town. That’s real money.

The house is a family home and Priscilla, the owner, seems to care about it enough to have given us her cell phone number in order to meet us at the house and show us around the property. The decor is simple in an 80’s sort of way. The house is exceptionally clean. It is carpeted, but I couldn't find a spot of dirt anywhere on it. Most important for me are the beds. I’ve rented ski houses with hard mattresses in the past. The beds in this house are exceptionally comfortable. The sheets are soft and clean and the beds have duvets and blankets with a pillow type feel. Speaking of pillows, they were excellent as well. There is absolutely no noise because the house is about 200 feet off the road and you can’t even see a neighboring house.

For Wifi and TV users, there is a nice Hi Def flat screen in the TV room, which is distinct from a separate large open living room. From the living room, there is an unobstructed beautiful perch type view, accentuated by huge floor to ceiling glass windows. The Wifi was high speed and the connection to our tablets and laptops was flawless. The broadband is very functional-- Netflix and Youtube worked perfectly across multiple devices. Back to the TV--I’ve often rented places where you can’t turn up the volume enough to hear well. This TV was simple to use and the volume worked fine.

The only two downsides to this house: there’s only one bathroom and there is no dishwasher. We survived. I assigned one glass, one bowl, one plate and a few utensils to each of my kids in order to minimize the washing of dishes. The “kid bedrooms” had pretty large beds that can fit two adults in each if they don’t mind sharing a bed. In other words, the house can accommodate three couples or two adults and four kids, as long as you don’t mind fitting two people per bed. The drawers were empty--you can easily unpack and hang your clothing.

In short. The house is a home run.
