|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
Note: January 1 - March 31, we recommend 4WD or AWD vehicles only. Depending on snow conditions, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to drive your vehicle closer than 200 ft to the cabin due to snow depths and the road plows filling in the driveway entrance (we don't plow the driveway any longer due to significant damage in previous years). Our 4WD pickup climbs over the pile without any issues most all the time.
Winter is a special time at the Cozy Cabin though! The trails are generally passable with hundreds of tracks (deer, fox, raccoon and others) crisscrossing the landscape. The Hemlock area when its covered with snow is about as quiet as you can get. If you are up for a little adventure, the solitude and peace you will find are well worth it! Venture on in and discover just how much fun it is being cozied up with the one you love! With a hot shower, romantic candlelight and plenty of great movies, you will have a fun filled and romantic time.
* Winter No Worry Guarantee: In the event of extreme winter weather that makes roads impassible, we will provide you with a full refund, including fees.

Bob and I (Peg) are a clean, neat, professional, energetic, fun loving couple who enjoy hiking high peaks, traveling and meeting new friends. We do not watch TV on a regular basis. We prefer pursing our passions - which include all sorts of travel, adventure and exploring new areas. We benefit from sitting on our deck with a drink in the Summer; or sitting in front of the inside fireplace in the Winter.
Bob owns his own business, The Opportunity Group. He's an Organizational Coach, where he transforms Managers into Leaders. He also writes romance/mystery novels [samples at the townhouse]. Peg is in charge of Stakeholder Services at the Opportunity Group, and volunteers at the local hospice.
For readers, you may find it interesting to note that much of Bob's Fantasy/Romance novel; JOURNEY, The Love Story of the Century, Part II was written in the cabin. Pictures of the trail from the cabin also appear in Part II. When you sit by the campfire, you will be sharing the same view that inspired some pretty interesting stories. The books may be found on Amazon. To find the books, Google 'Catlan Samuels Journey' (that is Bob's pen name). Part III of the trilogy is under way.
The Owner purchased this cabin in 2010
We very much enjoy the woods and getting off the grid as much as our busy schedules will allow.
When we are not there, we love to share the cabin with guests, who have a passion for peacefulness, birds, woods, nature and non-human noises.
Even though you are 20 minutes away from most anything, yet you feel like you are in the middle of no where.
Inside the cabin, being surrounded by knotty pine, is almost like camping outside with the luxury of a hot shower at your fingertips.
The easy forest trails allow for a casual back to nature experience, or for the more experienced hiker, the 5 mile hike around the block might suit your needs.
Cozy Cabin is the perfect spot for couples who want a completely secluded, romantic getaway where no one will find them, but it's also great for families who want to enjoy a woods experience with modern amenities! When guests are ready to come out of the forest, there is so much to see and do all within 15-20 minutes: Letchworth State Park, Stonybrook State Park, Swain Mountain Ski Resort, the Mount Morris Dam, and 7,700 acres of NYS Wildlife Management/wilderness Area to explore! Six Flags Darien Lake is 45 minutes away, and Niagara Falls is just over an hour and a half drive!
We rented this cabin to have someplace for all of us ( 3 adults 2 children) to stay while our grandchildren went to ski camp and we skied. It was a perfect property! perfectly maintained and appointed as described. We had a great time snowshoeing and making s'mores by the campfire, not to mention many memories that we will cherish for years!
Thank you so much was Very beautiful and quite place i defenetly will come someday again .
Our group of seniors had a very relaxing and quiet time at Peg and Bob's cabin each evening.
The property is well kept and we appreciated the attention to detail and communication with the owners.
Warm, welcoming, wonderful gem in the woods! So many great things to say about our stay at Peg and Bob's Cozy Cabin in the Woods! Thoughtfully decorated, well-stocked, well-maintained and very clean home shared by thoughtful and considerate owners. Great communication with the owners who provided so much helpful information and suggestions about our stay on the property, as well as exploring the surrounding areas of Dalton, Birdsall, Letchworth, Nunda, Angelica … (plan to spend a few hours driving/hiking through picturesque Letchworth State Park, about a 20 min drive from the cabin) The marked walking trails in the woods on the Cozy Cabin property provides an opportunity to reconnect with nature, imagination and a sense of inner peace. The large fire pit and wood we pre-ordered at a reasonable fee from the friendly neighbour down the road provided us with toasty warmth under starry skies and falling autumn leaves. Just a couple of hours after putting out that nights fire, we experienced a surprise snowfall that lasted until morning! Thanks to Peg and Bob for sharing your home with everything we needed to feel comfortable and welcomed at your Cozy Cabin in the Woods!
The cabin was wonderful! It was so much more than we expected. The interior was neat and clean, and very nicely decorated. Peg & Bob were wonderful, accommodating hosts. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family. The local eateries-The Birdsall Inn & the Sierra Inn were both very good places to eat. The exterior of the property was also really neat. There were trails surrounding the property and the owners left maps of where to go, which was really nice. We would definitely love to come back!
Very clean, beautiful, cozy, warm, welcoming cabin. All the enmities as if you were in your own home. Loved the decorating of all the rooms, located in a beautiful part of New York State, we enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to another weekend in the future.
