Pass A Grille Beach Voted one of the Best Beaches In America

Space 4,500 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 5 nights

About the property

4 Bedroom, 4 Bathroom, 9 Sleeps

This newly remodeled home is has four stories and is just a block from Pass A Grille Beach. It has unbelievable views of the gulf of mexico and pass a grille inlet. Located in the timeless pass-a-grille historic district of st. Pete beach, our large beach home features 10 ft. High ceilings, delightful front and back porches on all three floors, hard wood flooring, and an outdoor lanai area with a dock to fish off of and plenty of room for kids to run around and jump and play in the water.

We have a kayak that you are welcome to use and I might be able to give you and your family a boat ride if i am in town. In the home there are 4 bedrooms and 4 baths. The kitchen is beautiful with granite countertops and high end sub zero fridge and large gas stove. For your viewing pleasure there are three large flat screen wall mounted televisions. There is secure parking inside the garage with room for two cars.

You won't be able to miss the cool gulf breezes and unbelievable florida sunsets in this home. While preparing meals in the kitchen, look out the sliding glass doors and witness the beauty of the water right outside your home! Walk a couple of blocks and discover fun island-themed restaurants and shops along 10th, 9th and 8th avenues.

Pass-a-grille beach is a wide sandy beach that stretches several miles along the gulf. If you walk south you will hit the rock jetty on pass-a-grille pass where the gulf meets the pass a grille inlet. If you head north about a mile along the beach you will be at the famous pink don cesar hotel where you can enjoy your favorite drink by the pool or enjoy a romantic dinner at one of the don's world-class restaurants.

Although you have easy access to local entertainment, this is a surprisingly private home, with a glorious location in the heart of pass-a-grille. The community features include tennis courts, a community center, shuffleboard, the trolley line, beachfront, inter coastal waterway, playgrounds, basketball courts, and parks. We do not have a pool at the house, but there are many close by hotels and resorts which allow the public to use their pools.

About randy smith

Our family and our two children live here about half the time.

randy smith purchased this house in 2005

Why randy smith chose Pass-a-grille

I used to come to pass a grille as a boy and always loved it. Pass a grille is one of florida's best kept secrets. Many of the houses are historic and there is only one way on and off the island. Most all of the shops and restaurants are not chains, but run by 'moms and pops' and have a lot of charm. Come see what florida used to be before it was over taken by wings stores, condo high rises, and tattoo parlors!

What makes this house unique

The intercoastal water way is in the back yard, so you can fish and play on your own private dock. If you go out the front door you are just a one minute walk and a few houses away from the gorgeous pass a grille beach.

Stop looking! This is the ONE!!

  • 5 of 5

I found this wonderful home as I was looking for a place to vacation with friends. I was impressed by the reviews and how close it was to the beach. But I'm telling you it is so much better than I even imagined. The home itself is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. I use VRBO all the time and this is one of my favorite places for sure. I can't wait to go back!!

We had a total of 8 adults for our stay and had plenty of room. The top floor has a wonderful sitting area, a little kitchen and a queen bedroom with a view that is RIDICULOUS!! This is beautifully decorated also! There is a tub and shower with a view in this room as well. It has a balcony half way around the house for your viewing pleasure.

The whole second floor is a master bedroom that will make you want to move in!! it has a king bed and a beautiful tub and shower with a huge double sink. It's AMAZING!

Then there are 2 bedrooms on the main floor that are very nice and comfortable as well. The kitchen is very nice and you will not want for anything. It is all there. We cooked a really nice meal and snacked around the kitchen island. The living room is gorgeous with comfy furniture and a view that will just make you smile!

After you get here you really don't even need the car. Just park that thing and explore! You will find several really great restaurants to eat at... especially seafood! There is a family meat market and deli within walking distance and of course the BEACH which is seriously 1 block away!! And it is stunning! You must come check this place out for yourself. The owner is so very friendly and will help you with any questions you might have about the area.

So if you are looking to have fun...on a beautiful beach...rest and rejuvenate...eat good food...stay in a first class fabulous home...and deal with a very friendly and informative owner...then this is your spot!!!!

Fell in love with Pass A Grille

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for our family and we loved the location. We had grandkids ages 1 to 8 and we used the kayak's and the dock for fishing everyday and the kids loved it. The short walk to the beach was easy. Everything was so convenient and the house was gorgeous. Every bedroom and bath have been updated so tastefully and just makes you feel at home. The 3 stories made it perfect for everyone to have their little bit of privacy too. The owner was extremely helpful with any information we needed. We will for sure come back and rent this house again. Best family memories that week!!

Beach retreat went south

  • 1 of 5

The house was beautiful, but unfortunately, we had a terrible experience with the owner. I have rented many times through VRBO, but this experience made me second guess ever doing it again. The owner met us to check us in, and told us he would be coming in every day to feed the fish. He acted very strange and aggressive when I questioned that he would be coming in and out while we were there. I had expressed we would be coming there for a business retreat and beach time. We are a group of health care professionals, health coaches, and wellness advocates. There were 7 of us staying at this house overnight, and during the day we had 15 there for a business training. Then, we spent hours at the beach, and in town, then back to the house. For some reason, the owner did not like that we were doing a business training. I believe he misunderstood what we were doing. He called me yelling at me after he had been standing across the corner staring at the house, telling me I had deceived him about how many people would be in the house, and please get the cars out of the driveway. We had 4 cars there during the day, but at night, we only had 2 as he had requested in our contract. We had rented two houses, and we ended up packing our stuff, and going to the other house for our training. It was very inconvenient, and put us on edge the entire time, because the deadbolt was not in place on the door either. We ended up filing a report with the police, and asked them to be there when we checked out. The officer called the owner, and made it clear what the laws are in the state of FL, and we had no more problems after that. I have never given a less than perfect review before, but I feel this cannot be ignored.

Owner's Response: The guest booked our house as if it were for a girl's vacation for 7. During the days there were 10 cars crammed in the drive and I learned that she had 23 of her EMPLOYEES all in the living room watching motivational DVDs and learning about how to sell better. I told the woman who booked that I didn't think she was up front with me and that this type of commercial activity would have been best for a convention center. I even told her to continue, but to please not have so many cars in the drive. But she didn't like having her seminar interrupted.

Very nice

  • 4 of 5

Very nice property. Beautiful home, lots of space, close to the beach. Very clean and comfortable. My one and only comment would that there is almost no dresser space to put on one's clothes. Only the master has dressers, but the master closests are full and used. All the other rooms don't, so you must be creative about where your "unmentionables" get stored. That would be my only comment, otherwise it was very nice.
