We fell in love with Boca Grande many years ago and decided to buy a home here for our family to enjoy on weekends. We treasure our time in Boca Grande.
Marion purchased this townhome in 1996
Boca Grande is Florida the way it should be--a slower pace, no fast food restaurants, spacious grounds with lovely palms and brightly colored flowers. You can watch the dolphins play in the Gulf of Mexico or Charlotte Harbor, both of which are just minutes from our home. Boca Bay is south of the village, fronting on both the ocean and the harbor. Playground for children or grandkids at the community center. Lush landscaping throughout the entire island. You can see sea turtles in the Pass and otters in the Boca Bay lake. It's heaven!
When we first walked into the home, we were struck by the light streaming through the western windows facing the Gulf. The airy living room is two stories and adjacent to the dining area, kitchen, all with hardwood floors. The first floor plan is open with a master bedroom and adjoining bath on that level. The glass-enclosed porch off the living room provides additional seating for 6 with a large table and 180-degree views toward the Gulf. Upstairs are a second master bedroom with a walk-in closet and a large bath with a tub and separate shower and two sinks. The bunk room is next door with two bunk beds that sleeps four and a private bath. Hardwood floors and light airy rooms.
This was our first visit to Boca Grande, and staying at this town home made a wonderful trip even more perfect. Not only is it steps away from the beach, but the complex itself is absolutely beautiful--lushly landscaped, immaculately maintained, with pools, fishing and a private club a short walk away. The town home itself is even better. With a gorgeous layout and plenty of space, it's the perfect place for a family getaway. Can't recommend it enough!
We just returned from a glorious 7 day vacation and had a wonderful time. The townhouse was everything we'd hoped for - clean, spacious, well equipped, and just a short walk to the beach and several pools. There were two adults and four older kids (15-21) and the three bedrooms and three full baths worked out great. The kitchen had everything we needed and there was comfortable seating in the common areas for everyone.
The island was so peaceful and the beaches were gorgeous. No fast food joints - just a slow pace and an upscale, laid back community with plenty of history and hangouts to satisfy most needs.
I flew us all down in my Cherokee single engine airplane and parked the plane at the Venice airport about 45 minutes from the island. We rented a 6-place golf cart even though we had two rental cars just so we could let the teens tool around on their own without our direct involvement. We stopped at the Publix just before taking the bridge to the island to stock up on food for the week.
We're prepared to wait up to 6 weeks to get our deposit back but don't anticipate any problems there. We would absolutely stay again if we have the funds and opportunity in the hopefully not too distant future.
We have had a great time at this vacation home. It takes only 5 minutes to walk to the beach and there are several pools nearby. Would stay again.
Fish for tarpon in world famous Boca Grande Pass, stroll along 7 miles of pristine beaches, dine at The Temp, buy cream cones for the kids at the Pink Pony or the Loose Caboose, play tennis, swim in one of Boca Bay's four pools, stop by the Pass Club's fitness center before lunch or dinner. The island is serene and the way Florida should be.
