Beautiful authentic rustic Italian Vila with expansive terrace and all the amenities

  • 5 of 5

We loved every minute of our stay at Casa Bianca! The property itself is situated above a beautiful piazza with a Church and a community gathering space. The home was spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Every day we enjoyed lounging on the gorgeous terrace overlooking the sea, hearing the bells, the kids playing on the piazza below and the sounds of this charming neighborhood. Everyone was warm and friendly. Anna Maria and her family couldn’t have been lovelier or more helpful. She helped us organize our week of activities and was always available. The town of Praiano is the perfect spot to explore the Amalfi coast. We would never stay anywhere else!! This community is quieter and less touristy than Positano or Amalfi yet only a short ride away from either - by water taxi or bus. We had the best meals of our lives here and became friends with some of the shop owners and people we met during our stay. I can’t say enough about the location of the home, the warmth of the host family, the town itself and the stunning beauty of the Amalfi coast. It was like living in a post card...Thank you Anna Maria, Antonio and Bianca- we will dream about this trip until we can return! Ciao!

Perfect vacation setting.

  • 5 of 5

We spent two weeks at Casa Bianca and loved it. The villa has all of the amenities you could want, restaraunts and grocery stores within walking distance and spectacular views from all the rooms and the terrace as well. AnnaMaria was very welcoming and a terrific help coordinating our activities. Praiano was an ideal home base for exploring the Amalfi Coast. We took a boat to Capris, explored Ravello, Furore, Amalfi and Positano. AnnaMaria told us about a classical music concert held one morning up at Colle la Serra on the Pathway of the Gods, a strenuous hiking path from Bomerano to Positano. We hiked up, took in the concert and returned by way of the church of San Domenico, high in the hills above Praiano. One Fire Beach at La Gavitella was a favorite activity when we stayed closer to home. Amalfi and Positano were too crowded and seemed oriented towards serving the tourists. We much preferred the slower pace and local flavor of Praiano.

I love Praiano!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic stay with AnnaMaria and her family. It was just what we were looking for. The apartment is beautiful and the location was perfect for us. You do need to be aware of the stairs and the church bells every 15 minutes. The washing machine was great to have and we didn't miss having a dryer. We would definitely come back!!

Five Great Days at a Special Propery

  • 4 of 5

Our group of four (two couples) had a wonderful experience at AnnaMaria’s home in Praiano. The weather was horrible for mid-March, cold and wet for our entire stay, but we made the most of all that the Amalfi Coast had to offer. The house is beautiful, the owner's attentive, and the location perfect for any Amalfi adventures. AnnaMaria's family lives downstairs and are always available if needed. Her father Antonio is an old-school fisherman and a generous soul. A daily smile, some fresh eggs, and a few shots of homemade lemoncello overcome the language barrier. The only suggestion for improvement would be to add an electric clothes dryer for those unseasonably damp weeks.

Praiano was much more peaceful and relaxing than neighboring Positano and Amalfi. We took the SITA bus (note that it was packed even in the off-season) to both towns, and much preferred Praiano's laid-back vibe. Be prepared to walk and navigate thousands of steps during your visit, for which you will be rewarded with the most breathtaking views you have ever experienced. It is humbling, as a healthy American male, to be out-of-breath on a large flight of stairs and be passed by an elderly woman carrying a load of firewood (and not even breathing heavily)!

If you really want to increase your step count, take on the Path of the Gods. We hiked it in the cold and mist and only saw a few token shepherds on the route - it was magical. Reward yourself with a few cold beers in Positano and catch the SITA bus back to Praiano. If you are arriving via Naples, I would also recommend stopping at the Pompeii site for a two-hour guided tour. We combined our airport transfer to Praiano and the ruins tour into one package and it was well worth the time and money.

Charming apartment with a gorgeous view of the Mediterranean Sea

  • 4 of 5

This apartment is immaculate. Annamarie is courteous and available to answer questions, give suggestions, and book tours. The kitchen is a good size with a dishwasher and even a panini maker which we used to make toast. One downside: there is a washer for clothes but no dryer. However, there is a drying rack provided. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace to eat dinner al fresco after long days of site seeing. The apartment is located above a small plaza and next to a church. It was delightful to hear the bells chime every hour from 7:00am to 10:00pm. Thanks for a wonderful stay on the Amalfi Coast.

Wonderful stay in Praiano

  • 5 of 5

We (2 couples from Idaho, USA) had a memorable stay in Praiano. The view from the house over looking the Mediterranean Sea is spectacular. Coffee on the terrace in the morning was great. We parked our car and used public transportation to visit Amalfi, Positano and Isle of Capri. Anna Maria was a wonderful host and answered all our questions. Antonio's homemade limoncello was a special treat. This was a wonderful location for our visit of the Amalfi coast. We would all stay here again in the future. Thank you Anna Maria!!
