Why Fred & Lisa Day-Lewis chose Eastern Connecticut

What makes this house unique

The house in situated in northeastern Connecticut, which is a beautifully scenic and peaceful part of New England. The area is flush with farms, and you almost feel like you are stepping back in time while driving along the country roads here. There are several small lakes in the area, most of which are for residents, so they do not get busy or touristy. Find and like us on Facebook to follow lake house news!

Beautiful, unique home with a gorgeous view.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying at this home. Lisa checked in with us several times during our weekend to make sure everything was going well, and whether we needed anything. This is a perfect stay-in location to rent for a weekend, highly recommend!

Beautiful view but needs updating

  • 3 of 5

We thought that the cabin was in a wonderful remote location by the lake with a great view, but it needed some updating (new bedding, towels and bath mats). Also the bed was squeaky, which is a problem for us light sleepers. We just weren't comfortable so we left a day early. It appeared to be clean, but we prefer something less rustic. I completely appreciate that this may not be an issue for everyone, but I thought people should know.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback. As I said in our text exchange I would have liked to have the opportunity to address the issues during your stay. Immediately after your comments I purchased new sheets and bathmats for the house. Since no one had commented before it never seemed to be an issue (though they are different expectations for different folks). So I do aporeciate your private feedback to me. The place is always thoroughly cleaned in between rentals and new linens are always provided. Readers please know that I am happy to address any issues within my power that come up during your stay to make sure my guests are comfortable. We have 60+ 5 star reviews on another site we use more often if you need more assurance! Thanks for reading. Lisa

FABULOUS honeymoon location!!!!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the lake house for our honeymoon...it was BEAUTIFUL!!!

There were plenty of things to do around the surrounding towns but we spent most of our time relaxing in the lake. Anyone looking for a fabulous secluded getaway you can find it here.

Thanks Fred and Lisa

We hope to visit again next year around our Anniversary!!!

Quiet, comfortable and scenic

  • 5 of 5

We choose this property as a venue to get together with my sister and our kids over a long weekend and it suited our preferences perfectly. The house is very comfortable with two bedrooms and a full bath on the first level, a large kitchen, dining, sitting area and full bath on the main level, a good sized back deck facing the lake, and a loft sleeping area up top. The lake is beautiful, quiet and clean. The adults and kids all enjoyed swimming, kayaking and floating for hours each day and there's a small sandy beach area not far from the house that we had to ourselves during two visits. At night, the adults sat on the deck sipping wine, talking and star gazing. A very welcomed break from urban/suburban living and an excellent accommodation. Highly recommended.
