Adorable Home on Beautiful Lake - Well Stocked and Friendly, Responsive Owners

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for a wedding in the area (4 adults, 2 toddlers). So glad we chose this home - very comfortable with plenty of room. Well appointed and well stocked. Very responsive owners who take pride in their home. Beautiful view of the lake from the open living/dining/kitchen area and from the master bedroom. There were even toys and children's and adult books and DVD's available. Plenty of towels, toilet paper and well stocked with condiments/supplies. It was COLD while we stayed and the heat worked wonderfully. Stairs are spiral staircases, but they presented no problems for our group. Would love to stay in the Summer sometime - absolutely beautiful surroundings. Thankful for such an adorable place to call home for a few days.

Amazing weekend at Ashford lake house!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our girls weekend at the Ashford lake house. The view of the lake is just beautiful. We enjoyed a peaceful time kayaking and had fun sitting around the fire pit in the evening. We went for lunch at Sharpe Hill Vineyard - just exquisite, and then out for dinner in Putnam. We loved the Ashford area -- felt like we were in Vermont. We'd highly recommend this beautiful home.

Nice cottage on the lake

  • 4 of 5

Positive - House had what we needed - a home base for attending a family wedding in the area. Clean bedding, towels, and kitchen/bath supplies.

Negative - The main floor gets a lot of activity and could be better prepped for that. Kitchen faucet should have been secure for renters, fireplace parts should not have been on living room floor. If an oven is broken, put a sign on it. These are easy improvements to make.

Super positive - The location was great and in a beautiful setting! Fun to play in the lake. There was plenty of water gear/toys/kayaks to use with lake lounge seating provided. Overall, we had a very good time.
