This unique and luxurious house, is located next to the Marston Hills Canyon, in Hillcrest, a couple of blocks from University Avenue, within walking distance to some of San Diego’s finest restaurants, bars, shops, the Zoo, Balboa Park, Museums, Theatres, Balboa Golf Course and many other attractions.
Within a five minute drive you can be in downtown San Diego, the airport, Seaport Village, Petco Park (home of Padres baseball team), the Convention Center, Little Italy, Embarcadero, Fashion Valley mall, North Park, the Chargers' Qualcomm Stadium, historic Old Town, the Marina, many of the best restaurants, nightclubs, bars and much more. You can also enjoy Ocean beach, Liberty Station, San Diego's best breweries, Point Loma, Pacific Beach and Sea World, which are only ten minutes away.
An amazing diversity of restaurants and cuisines are available within walking distance of the area. You can enjoy Japanese, Mexican, American, Thai, Indian, Persian, Greek, Steakhouse, Vietnamese, Chinese, Brazilian, and more. Should you choose to stay in, for a relaxing night of grilling or cooking at home, you will find a Ralphs, Whole Foods and Trader Joes within a couple of blocks. In the morning, you can wake up and enjoy a variety of local coffee shops with tastes of Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico or India, in addition to a Starbucks for more local flavor. There is also a local 24-hour Rite Aid pharmacy available to you as well.
The house is situated on a cul-de-sac end-street, peaceful and quiet next to the canyon, but also close to everything. The property was fully renovated on 2012, and The City of San Diego by the Hillcrest Town Council honored the property with the LION award for enhancing the appearance of the City.
In SD Villa (brand new construction), you will be able to enjoy the best and most luxurious amenities like a King-size bed, Egyptian cotton sheets, and more. The large walking closet can accommodate all of your clothes, without cramping, as well as your shoes, your souvenirs and shopping bags. The living room is incredible comfortable and spacious; Have breakfast in the granite peninsula and prepare a romantic dinner in the beautiful dining table. You can also use it as an spacious desk where you can connect your devices to the home Wi-Fi network, check email, plan your trip and work from your vacation home. When you need to rest after exploring beautiful San Diego, turn on the 46-inch LED TV in the living room or your room TV in the comfort of your bed and enjoy one of the 100-plus channels available to you.
Crossing just outside of the beautiful door, you will find your own outdoor area with a barbecue, dining table, and more outdoor amenities always usable in sunny San Diego. Enjoy sitting down on the patio, with a glass of wine and watch the sunset. The entire property has been fenced with beautiful natural stone and redwood for your privacy and security. You also have your own enclosed parking area with an automatic gate.
A bus stop is available only two minutes walking from the house and the trolley station is also minutes away. Right across the street is an entrance to one of the canyons of Balboa Park, perfect for a morning walk and hike.

Great location, cozy front yard filled with beautiful plants and trees, perfect for a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. A 30 second walk from hidden Marston Canyon, a truly excellent location in Hillcrest. The private gated parking was a huge bonus! Ricardo, the owner, was always available and very eager to make his guests feel comfortable. The other positive reviews were valuable and accurate. A perfect, well priced, updated, home for a couple and their dog. Two enthusiastic thumbs up! I will definitely stay here again.
We loved staying at this property. It was a perfect layout for two people and our dogs. The house was very clean and had everything we needed, even our own parking spot. The location was great, close to downtown, Balboa park, Zoo, and not far from the beach. We would absolutely stay here again when we come back to San Diego.
This is a great little house, nicely redone. The VRBO interior pictures do not do it justice, since lamps, a glass coffee table, mirrors/artworks/wall hangings, etc., have all been added since the original photos were taken. The place was spotlessly clean upon arrival. The kitchen is adequately equipped with all that you need for cooking. The king sized bed is very comfortable. The best thing, however, is the wonderful little front terrace, nicely vegetated and enclosed by a beautiful stone and wood fence. We spent a lot of time out there....and it was great to have a safe and secure place for our Welsh Terrier (Miss Daisy) to sniff around and explore. The rear off-street parking (likewise enclosed and secure) is also a plus. All-in-all, this is a very nice rental offered at a very fair price. Thanks, Ricardo.
