Nice place but a little hot for sleeping
The apartment was lovely. Great area , central location and the owners were great to deal with. Very helpful and gave us a lot of good recommendations. We were there at the peak of August and the AC didn't work well enough to cool the bedrooms down. The open windows gave it a good breeze but the air didn't reach the bedrooms to cool it down. there were fans but they were on 2 hour timers so sleeping was difficult. When we complained they bought a better fan but I wouldn't recommend if you need a cool room to sleep in.
luckily they did not stay long. They heat telling us they had bought another fan (3 fans and air conditioning). the fans have a button to not disrupt their function. They had air at 16 degrees almost 24h. They slept with winter blankets on the couch. first complaint is the heat in the house and we have had many guests. to leave the apartment was filthy, with garbage, empty bottles and very messy. guests not to recommend
Very nice apartment in central Valencia.
The apartment is situated right in the centre of Valencia. Very near to the entrance is a nice little square with a couple of nice bars. Restaurants are very close. The apartment itself is situated on the fourth floor of an old building. There is no elevator and the stairs are quite narrow. A large suitcase will be hard to get upstairs.
The apartment is light and clean and very nicely decorated. If you are traveling with very young children this apartment is not a wise choice because inside there is a steep and open spiral staircase and once upstairs a child can easily fall down. I was traveling with older children and they loved the apartment.
The beds are good but short.
The kitchen is well equipped. The were owners kind and helpful and Valencia a wonderful city. I'd love to visit again.
We propose activities to do on foot from the historic center:
First, in the morning, visit the Central Market, a splendid modernist building from the beginning of the XXth century, of fresh products from all over the world. https: // www. mercadocentralvalencia. is / The-Market. aspx #
Opposite, the Silk Exchange, World Heritage building, Gothic temple of the SXV trade. http: // whc. unesco org / en / list / 782
And close by is the Colegio de la Seda, on Calle Hospital 7, building also of the SXV, for the administration of the Greater Art of silk in Valencia. https: // www. museodelasedavalencia. eat/
At the zero point of the city is the Almoina, with archaeological remains from the time of the Roman Republic, the Almudín Gothic civil building and the Cathedral, Gothic, Romanesque and Baroque surrounded by the lively squares of La Virgen and La Queen.
Nearby, on Calle Cavallers 35, the recently restored church of San Nicolás, of Gothic construction but of Baroque decoration, is the Sistine Chapel of Valencia. http: // www. sannicolasvalencia. com/
Another modernist market, from the beginning of the XXth century, that of Colón, now rehabilitated for trade and catering is a bright and pleasant space. http: // mercadocolon. is in/
