'Heritage' (Flat 4) is a 3rd floor apartment recently refurbished to a very high standard, comfortable and cosy but with all mod cons. It commands magnificent views in both directions; over the harbour and Lyme Bay to the West, and the Jurassic coast towards Portland to the East. One double bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and sitting room TV, Video and DVD, music system, central heating. All rooms have sea view. In front of the property there is a large communal lawn for use of Pier Terrace tenants only. Dedicated parking is available adjacent to the lawn. You can reach the beach, shop and pub within 1 minute.

Peak season is mid May to mid September. During that time we would not normally take bookings of less than 7 nights. Friday to Friday. Exceptionally for late bookings we would consider shorter stays.

Out of peak season there is a 4 night minimal charge of 70% of the weekly rate and for 5 nights 80%. 6 nights would be at the full weekly rate. H&A show rates for 4, 5 and 6 night stays incorrectly as they assume a pro rata rate. Therefore for stays of less then 7 days there will be a supplement payable in cash on arrival to make the total cost up to the 70% or 80% or 100% intended. On requesting a stay of less then 7 nights or a stay that straddles 2 weeks I will reply to your request rapidly to clarify exactly what the cost will be. The cost for 7 Night stays starting on a Friday are always as shown on the website. Also out of peak season different change over days are possible - please ask

What makes this apartment unique

We try to be flexible with dates and rates outside the peak season. Changeover day is normally Friday. Minimum charge is usually for 4 nights and is approx. 70% of the full week rate. 5 nights 80% of the full week rate and 6&7 nights is the full weekly rate. During peak season, May to September we tend to only let for full weeks. All services and linen are totally included in the prices. Please ask if you have any special requests. A Discount will be offered for stays greater than 1 week.

On the floor above Heritage there is the advantage of a large store/attic room for beach equipment, walking gear and buggies etc. The whole apartment is newly decorated with fitted carpets and laminated wood flooring. Great Flat, Great Location

We were looking for somewhere on the coast in an ideal location to enjoy the Jurassic Coastline, and this place was perfect! Nicely situated in a lovely little harbour with a number of places to eat close by and great walks just outside your door. The flat had everything you needed and a comfy bed which was great after and long day out site seeing. Easy to find and the owner was very helpful. Great value for money too!!

Lovely apartment in an historic West Bay building.

What a great little apartment! Comfy and well equipped. Pier Terrace is such an historic West Bay landmark and it was a pleasure to stay there. The apartment has views over the harbour on one side and East Cliff and beach on the other. The photos on the site don't do it justice. It is on the 3rd floor so be prepared for some stairs. The limited free parking for residents was fine for us in May but could be a minor issue at peak times. However, there is plenty of other parking close by - and the kitchen overlooks the free parking to spot any available spaces. We would happily stay here again.

Peaceful retreat

We had a fantastic stay in an area we have never been before & West Bay is worth the visit.

The flat was very clean, well equipped & the views from the windows area beautiful. The welcome bottle of wine & locally made biscuits certainly hit the spot. Wifi was good.

I would have given 5 stars but for the first 2 nights I was frozen the heating went off at 11 & came back on at 7, sleeping close to the single glazed window didn't help the draft coming through was ridiculous, the gaps were so bad I stuffed them with kitchen roll. That made a difference & I found another duvet, that problem solved. The other problem was the blind, it was so small it did not fit the window & therefore at 5am when the sun rose my wife & I were both awake.

If these 2 issues are addressed it would be a definite 5 stars but the blinds are just ridiculous.

I found it hard to get hold of Sooty prior to our arriving & finally tracked her down less than 24 hours before our arrival, this was after messages through the website, SMS & finally Whatsapp. I was beginning to think it was a scam, it was quite worrying.

We enjoyed our stay and would book again. The location was great, the flat it's self was very clean and had everything that we needed. The welcome pack of wine, tea and biscuits was a nice touch. The only small thing was the outside light didn't work but in the grand scheme of things it didn't spoil our stay.

Cosy Apartment in Great Location

Great location, right next to the beach! Apartment was very clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. Host was very helpful with instructions and directions, but very easy to find. Lots of info about things to do in Dorset. Very comfortable bed and noise free room for plenty of good sleep after trekking around all day. Spacious and great views… We can highly recommend this place for a relaxing few days away.

Lovely little apartment with great views of the bay. Fully equipped with everything needed for a self catering holiday although plenty of places to eat out..Rachels fish hut on the harbour is a must for sea food lovers and the george in the bay do the most amazing homemade pie I've ever eaten. Milk wine and biscuits left for us when we arrived was much appreciated . Would recommend this apartment to any couple seeking a relaxing sea side well valued break. In a beautiful part of the country.

Pier Terrace occupies a stunning position in the heart of West Bay adjoining the harbour and beach. West Bay is a thriving coastal resort with excellent amenities including public house, post office, general store, fishmonger butcher, restaurants and church - all arranged around the picturesque historic working harbour, which has recently been upgraded with a new outer harbour. The famous 'Riverside Restaurant' is only a short walk from the apartment. This has established itself as one of the country's leading seafood restaurants and takes pride in serving fresh fish. Their changing daily menu reflects the local landings, much of which is caught off the Dorset coast. The superb coastline is designated a World Heritage Site (the only one in the UK). Nearby is an 18 hole cliff top golf course and the historic market town of Bridport is within a couple of miles. The larger centres of Dorchester and Weymouth are both about a half an hours driving distance with mainline railway services.
