'Heritage' (Flat 4) is a 3rd floor apartment recently refurbished to a very high standard, comfortable and cosy but with all mod cons. It commands magnificent views in both directions; over the harbour and Lyme Bay to the West, and the Jurassic coast towards Portland to the East. One double bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and sitting room TV, Video and DVD, music system, central heating. All rooms have sea view. In front of the property there is a large communal lawn for use of Pier Terrace tenants only. Dedicated parking is available adjacent to the lawn. You can reach the beach, shop and pub within 1 minute.

Peak season is mid May to mid September. During that time we would not normally take bookings of less than 7 nights. Friday to Friday. Exceptionally for late bookings we would consider shorter stays.

Out of peak season there is a 4 night minimal charge of 70% of the weekly rate and for 5 nights 80%. 6 nights would be at the full weekly rate. Also out of peak season different change over days are possible - please ask

Since 2016 unlimited WIFI in the apartment - NO CHARGE!

What makes this apartment unique

We try to be flexible with dates and rates outside the peak season. Changeover day is normally Friday. Minimum charge is usually for 4 nights and is approx. 70% of the full week rate. 5 nights 80% of the full week rate and 6&7 nights is the full weekly rate. During peak season, May to September we tend to only let for full weeks. All services and linen are totally included in the prices. Please ask if you have any special requests. A Discount will be offered for stays greater than 1 week.

On the floor above Heritage there is the advantage of a large store/attic room for beach equipment, walking gear and buggies etc. The whole apartment is newly decorated with fitted carpets and laminated wood flooring. We enjoyed our stay and would book again. The location was great, the flat it's self was very clean and had everything that we needed. The welcome pack of wine, tea and biscuits was a nice touch. The only small thing was the outside light didn't work but in the grand scheme of things it didn't spoil our stay.

Cosy Apartment in Great Location

Great location, right next to the beach! Apartment was very clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. Host was very helpful with instructions and directions, but very easy to find. Lots of info about things to do in Dorset. Very comfortable bed and noise free room for plenty of good sleep after trekking around all day. Spacious and great views… We can highly recommend this place for a relaxing few days away.

Lovely little apartment with great views of the bay. Fully equipped with everything needed for a self catering holiday although plenty of places to eat out..Rachels fish hut on the harbour is a must for sea food lovers and the george in the bay do the most amazing homemade pie I've ever eaten. Milk wine and biscuits left for us when we arrived was much appreciated . Would recommend this apartment to any couple seeking a relaxing sea side well valued break. In a beautiful part of the country.

Just wonderful!

The apartment is great: enough space for two, cosy, good bed (!), views of the sea from all windows, quiet (apart from the sea). There is only one house between the apartment block and the beach.

The coast is spectacular; the coast path goes conveniently through West Bay. West Bay is surprisingly quiet - nearly no 'amusement' stuff, but several nice pubs, restaurants and cafés. Parking can be a little bit tough at weekends, because the hotel and apartment block car park is often full, but we had to use the paid parking only for one morning (50p/hour, nights are free, can be paid in the evening). There is a regular bus service to and from Bridport and Lyme Regis, unfortunately only until 7.45 pm, but taxi fare from Bridport is ok (6 L).

We had a wonderful and very happy week there und would love to come back!

What a lovely apartment, nice and clean with all facilities that you need.

Lots of things to do and see within walking distance, it was so nice not to use the car.

The flat was ideally situated in the quiet harbour of West bay overlooking the sea, harbour and mountains. The apartment is on the fourth/top floor...and we found it to be clean, compact and well equipped. The flat has a tastefully decorated bedroom, new kitchen and bathroom. (which there are sadly not enough photos of). We arrived to a bottle of wine, biscuits, milk and fresh flowers...which was very kind and welcoming. The only down side would be that the couch and TV were a bit out dated and in need of replacing. And black out curtains were needed in the bedroom...as the one small blind did not cover the three windows. We also struggled to park on a few occasions as it was bank holidays and the schools were off. The owner did inform us this might happen and you can pay 50p to park opposite (which is also free 6pm-8am). But we found this apartment to be overall good value for money considering the quality and location. We also found the surrounding towns of Bridport and Lyme Regis to be beautiful to explore as well as the coastal walks and beach strolls.

I have taken on board your comments about regarding the TV and sofa, and will take a look at what we can do to improve things. We are actually on the 3rd floor not the fourth, and its just our attic above for walk in storage. I have recently taken more pics which I will post on the site soon, it is a difficult place to do justice to and I am not a talented photographer! Blinds /curtains are very difficult to fit to theses windows , but as we are on 3rd floor and not overlooked at all we have not worried , no one else has mentioned it , but we will look into this too. best wishes Sooty

Pier Terrace occupies a stunning position in the heart of West Bay adjoining the harbour and beach. West Bay is a thriving coastal resort with excellent amenities including public house, post office, general store, fishmonger butcher, restaurants and church - all arranged around the picturesque historic working harbour, which has recently been upgraded with a new outer harbour. The famous 'Riverside Restaurant' is only a short walk from the apartment. This has established itself as one of the country's leading seafood restaurants and takes pride in serving fresh fish. Their changing daily menu reflects the local landings, much of which is caught off the Dorset coast. The superb coastline is designated a World Heritage Site (the only one in the UK). Nearby is an 18 hole cliff top golf course and the historic market town of Bridport is within a couple of miles. The larger centres of Dorchester and Weymouth are both about a half an hours driving distance with mainline railway services.
