Traditional style and modern well equipped Alpine house within a few minutes drive from the picturesque town of Bled. Ideally located for both summer and winter activities. Situated in stunning scenery on the edge of the Triglau National Park.

The house also includes a separate appartment which is useful when large groups are staying. The appartment has its own kitchen and bathroom This appartment can also be rented (suitable for two people) when the owners are staying.

The house is in small village with only woods behind it.

About Louise Carter

We are a family of three who fell in love with Slovenia following our first visit in 2003. We enjoy an outdoor lifestyle so Slovenia is ideal for us. In the winter we enjoy skiing in the local resorts as well as venturing further into Italy and Austira. In the summer there, is cycling, swimming, fishing, tennis,canoeing and much more.

It is located in a small village a short 5 to 10 minutes drive from Bled. A large property that is spread over three floors, so there is lots of space for everyone. The house backs onto a forest so it is very peaceful.You are in a village populated only by Slovenes so a chance to mix with the locals.

A great place for a great summer holiday

The house is really well located between Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj but far away from both to be free of the crowds. There is some good walking that leaves from the hamlet and a short drive takes you more adventurous stuff in the Julian Alps.

The house is very well equipped and spacious with a lovely large veranda out the front which catches the sun most of the day.

We had a really enjoyable family holiday in this very spacious and comfortable property. The location and views are stunning and it is near to all local amenities. Lake Bled is a very short drive away and there are two very pleasant restaurants and a store in the village. During the week we walked, swam and went sight-seeing with plenty to keep us busy and amused. The property was easily largely enough for five adults with more room available. The airport is less than a hour away and a trip to the capital, Ljubjana only a little further. We would thoroughly recommend this property for anyone who likes mountains, lakes and spectacular scenery. David and Louise were very helpful and booking was an ease.

Very nice house is stunning location!

We had a wonderful week staying in the house in June 2014. The house’s location is stunning, surrounded by forest-cover Mountains that can be especially well appreciated from the balcony(s)! There is also woodland directly behind the house ready for exploring! The house itself is spacious and well presented, containing everything we needed for a very comfortable weeks holiday. The location and surroundings are very peaceful and quite, with a very genuine feel, yet only a few minutes drive from the amazing Lake Bled! The house is also very convenient to access from Ljubljana airport - around 30-40 minutes drive. All-in-all, the holiday was extremely enjoyable and we couldn’t fault any aspect of the house or location. Would be more than happy to recommend!

A perfect place for a family holiday!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Obrne. The house is spacious and ideal for large families such as ours. There is plenty of room to store ski equipment after a tiring day on the slopes but would be equally good in the summer if you wanted to enjoy the nearby lakes. It has fantastic views and is set in an ideal location, only about half an hour from Ljubljana airport. It also has a lovely outside area, complete with seating and barbecue. The property is well-maintained, has everything you need for self-catering and is warm and comfortable. We loved the local area, particularly Bled which has some great restaurants and can't wait to go back in the summer. For a combination of active and relaxing holiday, we can't think of a better place.

nice holiday home

We where two families with 3 children between 12 and 17 years old. We had a nice holiday in Slovenia. The house was big enough for 10 people. There is a well equiped kitchen and a nice living room. The children loved the games and the parents loved the big terrace on the house.

Slovenia is a beautiful country with mountains, waterfalls, farms....The lake of Bohinj is a really nice place. Bled is also nice but a lot more people there. There are many activities to do with children (kayak, canyoning, zipline, mtb, .....)

Immediate access directly from the house to countless walks and hiking as well as more challenging mountaineering.

Within a few minutes walk of a river for fishing. Rafting available from Bled. Canoeing available down the river from nearby Bohinj lake.
