Original Inglenook with log burner, romantic double bedroom, twin room & WiFi
Passionate about walking, eating and relaxing - that's why we are so passionate about the Cotswolds and big fans of self-catering holidays.
Sarah purchased this Cottage in 2003
Why Sarah chose Stow-on-the-Wold
We fell in love with Honey Cottage over 15 years ago and still love it every bit as much today. For a cosy Cotswolds cottage is offers a nice amount of space and lots of wonderful character features - just what you want for a taste of Cotswolds life with great pubs, coffee houses, tea shops, restaurants and shops on the doorstep. Whether you want to stay in, cook and relax in front of the fire, grab a takeaway (Chinese, Indian and fish & chips in the town), or wander out and be spoilt for choice with proper pubs for a pint and excellent restaurants for a meal, everything is on the doorstep. And by day there are beautiful walks (with fabulous country inns for refreshment along the way!) to picturesque Cotswolds villages, and an abundance of attractions for day trips out.
What makes this Cottage unique
The original old floor and winding stone staircase, inglenook fireplace with log burner and central location both in the town and the highly desirable 'Golden Triangle' of the Cotswolds.

Cottage lovely and clean, well equipped, in a beautiful village with quaint shops, and plenty of eating places.
Charming Cottage in the Heart of Stow on the Wold
The cottage is absolutely charming! It was spotlessly clean and well appointed. We had three adults in our group and we were very comfortable. The kitchen is adorable and well equipped with a view of the walled garden. There is a table and four chairs outside which was a wonderful place to have breakfast. The bedrooms were comfortable. Note that the bedroom with the full bed is located at the top of two narrow spiral staircases and it does not have a door. It was spacious, clean and well appointed. The bathroom is small but very clean and had everything we needed. One thing to note is that the ceilings are low and the stairs are very narrow and winding. While this wasn't a problem for me at 5'4", my 6'2" husband hit his head a few times and found the stairs difficult. This property would be difficult for small children or larger people due to the narrow stairs and low ceilings. Otherwise you couldn't ask for a more charming, cozy cottage.
The town of Stow on the Wold is a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful with lots of shops, tea rooms and restaurants. This property was very convenient to shops and restaurants. We had a car but walked everywhere while we were in Stow. We found parking just a short walk away. The cottage is situated on a fairly main street in Stow on the Wold but we really weren't bothered with street noise. We had a wonderful stay here!
I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay at the cottage and the many amenities on the doorstep. It is every bit as lovely in the winter when you get to enjoy the magic of the log burner. We hope to welcome you back again.
Beautiful cottage, beautiful village!
Honey cottage is perfect for a small family, very cosy and warm. Just be careful of the stairs which are very steep, but you do get used to them. The kitchen is so well kitted out with everything you need and a lovely welcome pack when you arrive. Like most properties in the Cotswolds if your over 6 feet mind your head! We will definitely book again. Thank you.
Wonderful, welcoming cottage with a gorgeous sun-trap of a terrace at the back - to be able to breakfast outside in March was a joy.
The sitting room was extremely comfortable with a working log burner and the beds were fabulous. The twins were the most comfortable single beds we have ever slept on, proper grown up singles!!!
All in all, wonderful
Fantastic family holiday
Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Honey Cottage. It was a great base for exploring the Cotwolds. The town of Stow is a really lively and picturesque environment. The cottage itself is filled with character and charm. It was very warm and had everything you needed for a relaxing holiday. It is definitely a home away from home. We hope to return one day :-)
Quaint and extremely close to the town centre.
Clean, cosy and very welcoming.
