The Villa, decorated with Mediterranean style and colours, is in San Montano, a small private bay located 1 km away from Massa Lubrense. The view is stunning both from the interior and from the solarium and terraces outside; guests can admire Capri island and the whole gulf. The distance from Sorrento city center is 7 Km
The property is very close to the sea and it is surrounded by plants, flowerbeds and a small garden.
The two storey villa is over 250 square meters and it has been fully renovated in 2015. The outdoor area and the solarium, equipped with deck furniture, shower, barbecue, bar and pizza oven, are 500 square meters large.
There is an inflatable whirlpool in the back garden.

Amazing week!!!

Both my husband and I enjoyed our stay in Massa Lubrense, Mario was a super host, before we arrived he sent us relevant information to help us organise our trip, he met us at the house and showed us round and gave us further information on restaurants, places to visit etc... There are quite a few stairs to the property but used this as a good form of exercise!! Amazing views of Capri and Sorrento especially at night from the balcony and terrace. The house was clean, comfortable and cosy. A short walk to the harbour which has some lovely restaurants and a small shop to buy basic essentials was useful. Would definitely stay here again, thank you Mario for all your help and useful tips and thanks to Bruno too for helping us with the suitcases!!

Very nice spacious property but unable to find address using google

Took me 4 hours to find this place as the address provided did not direct us to the villa. Using google we ended up in various places within a 20 minute radius dependant upon what we put in the search criteria. This was frustrating. the directions provided were ok once you knew were you were going but finding the place proved problematic. I would recommend that you get Mario to share his location with you using iphone/ipad so you can be directed directly to villa otherwise its difficult. Mario was to be fair very helpful, instantly responded to messages and came to meet us were we were lost so we could follow him back to the villa. You need to go to Sorrento 1st then head for Massa Lubrense, if you see the Spar Shop on the LHS you have gone past the right turn you require by about 200 mtrs We were disappointed initially with the large price increase on the website advertised price compared to what we had to pay once we decided to book, however that aside the place was very nice and as described. Good points: The villa was spotlessly clean, Very spacious, fantastic terrace and views, good BBQ area, there is a fridge upstairs on the roof terrace for your beer which is a good touch. Bad points: I have mentioned the directions issue, maybe could do with an update to make it more modern. There are 3 showers inside the villa but we ended up using only one as the other 2 the shower curtain gets pulled in when the water is running and sticks to you. I had to pay a large sum to get the white cushions cleaned as they got slightly dirty and apparently they have to be dry cleaned. If your renting a villa out to the public then cushion covers that can be removed and washed normally are the way to go as its inevitable things will get some fair wear and tear. It turned out there was a 100KW energy usage limit which I was not aware of until the end of the rental and we had apparently used 325KW, we were not in a lot of the time so this must have been the air con system. Mario did write this charge off to be fair to him. Had a problem with the dishwasher not working and it has to be replaced but the housekeeper came and done the pots for us which was good. The hot tub didn't work all week. Mario got a plumber out and it lasted for 1 use then tripped out again. It is suspected the water system was blocking up despite the filter getting replaced so this was a shame. when it got hot it was hot and goes upto 40 degrees C. 15 mins drive to Sorrento (Taxi 30 euro)

Great Villa in a lovely location

Mario was super helpful and all his recommendations were spot on. Only thing missing from this Villa is a pool (there may be one planned for the future !) would stay again.

Beautiful Mediterranean villa!

We had a wonderful stay at Mario’s villa! Mario and his nephew were fantastic hosts and went out of their way to welcome us and check on us throughout our stay. When the Naples airport ended up losing two of our bags, Mario spent nearly half the time of our stay trying to help us get them back. He treated us like honored guests! The villa is located in a very nice area for beach homes and vacationers, though it was never crowded. The flowers and bougainvillea were just breathtaking colors against the backdrop of the Italian seaside. Massa Lubrense was a quaint seaside village. We found it enjoyable to walk along the coast (about 20 min walk with a toddler in tow) to the restaurant at the harbor, Funiculi’ Funicula.’ Delightful ambiance and delicious food and wine! We allowed our three teenagers to walk by themselves to get gelato at sunset and felt no danger in doing so. The streets surrounding the villa are very steep and difficult to walk very far. Plan ahead to rent a vehicle if you want to get out very much. Getting around for our family of 7 proved to be more difficult than we had planned on, though Mario tried to prepare us and gave us lots of good options for pre booking taxi rides. Do not hesitate to book this villa for a truly Mediterranean seaside vacation!

Experience of a lifetime

Host was kind, thoughtful and so helpful. We could not have asked for a better person. The house itself was magnificent and the location was beautiful. We hope to come back again and make this a part of tradition. Lifetime experience!
