This apartment is in a great location and beautifully decorated. Lots of lovely fabrics and art work. The rooms are large and comfortable. Concierge and owners very pleasant to work with. Excellent restaurants, transportation and shopping all near by.Next time I go to Paris, I'll definitely try to stay there again.
We regret not having been able to spend more time in your company
we would have find so many interesting topics to chat more extensively
Very happy to see you again.
Beautiful Paris Apartment
I cannot say enough good things about this apartment and the owner, Michel! The apartment is beautifully decorated, with exceptional artwork displayed on the walls in every room. It is a lovely space, but still very charming and extremely comfortable. It truly feels like a traditional French apartment and it is a fantastic place to stay to get the complete Paris experience. We found the apartment just as pictured, and although there were only three of us, it would comfortably accommodate four people. There are two bedrooms, a fully functional and stocked kitchen, including dishwasher and washing machine, and a bathroom with shower/tub and separate toilet. Beautiful French doors in the living room and both bedrooms allow you to step out onto the balcony and overlook the city life below, as well as providing a nice breeze to cool the apartment. This is Paris, so there is no air conditioning, but although we visited in July and it was quite warm, we were able to keep things very pleasant by opening the several sets of French doors. The apartment is conveniently located, with three different metros literally less than a five minute walk away, as well as numerous restaurants and cafes all within easy walking distance. We ate many of our meals right in the neighborhood, because there were so many choices, and we did not have a single bad meal. This review would not be complete without mentioning the apartment's gracious owner, Michel. From the very beginning he was incredibly accommodating, allowing us to check in several hours early, because we took an overnight flight to France, and even leaving breakfast for us in the kitchen so we could rest immediately without having to go out for food. There was a mix up initially with regard to the address of the building due to an error on the VRBO site, but Michel and his wife responded quickly when we contacted them and gave us the correct address. He was very apologetic and even offered to buy us all dinner one night to make up for the inconvenience, which was extremely minimal. I would just recommend that you confirm the address directly with him before arrival. I would wholeheartedly recommend this property to anyone who is visiting Paris and wants to stay in a conveniently located, beautiful and quintessentially French apartment. My family and I could not have enjoyed our time more!
Everything and more
Our family of four (including two young adult children) stayed at this spacious apartment for a week in November. Our friendly hosts were waiting when we arrived, and efficiently introduced us to the apartment before leaving. We had lots of space (2 bedrooms, living room, dining room with large table to seat 6, kitchen with room for 4 to sit and have a light meal, bath/shower, separate toilet, and large entrance hall) in this quiet and private apartment. We appreciated the kitchen amenities, the washing machine, the little extras (washing powder, paper towel, spices), and the always-hot water. The original art was also a very personal touch.
The location is ideal, close to three metro stations, at least three boulangeries/patisseries, a wonderful but tiny restaurant (Le Timbre; reservations a must), at least a dozen busy creperies (we counted 10 on Rue de Montparnasse), and the Luxembourg Gardens. We easily travelled around Paris on the Metro and the trips never seemed very long. (Our recommendation: Don't buy a pass; rather, buy the bundles of 10 discounted metro tickets and stock up as required. The four of us used two tickets each per day and enjoyed ~50km of walking in between.) We also took the efficient SNCF trains to Rouen, where we had lunch at La Couronne restaurant, and Fontainebleau.
Thanks Michel; we hope we can make it back some time.
We endorse completely the comments made by 'b1sally'; our experience exactly.
Comfort, Elegance, Affordable and oh so Convenient
My family of 3 adults visited Paris for a week and the apartment was our home away from home. The décor of the apartment is everything you see in the pictures and more because the original works of art are personal momentos of the owners. The apartment is spacious, with 2 large bedrooms that gave us lots of room to move around and to store our clothes, shoes and baggage. The beds are firm, and somewhat low, but not so low that my friend with the knee replacement had a problem. There were bed tables with lamps on both sides of the bed so that we could read at night! The kitchen was stocked with everything we could possibly want to cook a meal, warm up food or make snacks. It was nice to have a full size refrigerator and freezer. 3 different types of coffee pots for drip, espresso or press. It even had a dishwasher. We were very grateful for the washer and the drying rack over the bath tub; they allowed us to bring fewer clothes. The shower had good water pressure and lots of hot water all the time. Everything was very clean and neat, and the linens and towels were coordinated and very nice. We had two balconies that looked over the small street we were on. The building had a security panel at the front door and an elevator, so we didn't have to walk up steps unless we wanted to. We were half a block from Blvd Montparnasse which had tons of restaurants, movie theaters and shops. Metro stations on 3 separate lines were all within 1 block. We could go anywhere in the city easily, and walk to Montparnasse, St Germain, the Latin Quarter, the Catacombes and Notre Dame easily. Talk about a convenient location! The owners were very easy to work with when we set up the rental and they left a few tips to help improve our stay. The Wifi signal was strong throughout the apartment. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone and everyone.
So happy we stayed here
My husband, my sister and I stayed here for the last two weeks of May. It is a great as everyone has described and we are so happy we chose to stay here. It had everything we needed, plus a few surprise extras-blow dryer, shampoos, face cloths. It is lovely that things like paper towels, Kleenex, napkins are provided also. We only cooked in 2x, after shopping at Edgar Quinet market and managed a great meal in the kitchen with pots and pans provided. (A sharp paring knife would be a wonderful addition, but truly we managed easily with everything provided.) We knew the area already-its the best area to stay in Paris (in our opinion). For the first time, we walked to the Eiffel Tower from the apartment-about 45 minutes. Who knew it was that close? We did takeout pizza from Mamma's around the corner fabulous (and lovely people) and as always ate at Le Paradis-love the ambiance of this friendly but a bit crazy, busy, Paris restaurant (near Monoprix). We would absolutely stay here again and we would not hesitate to recommend this apartment. Thank you Michel and Nicole (even though we did not meet you) and wonderful Helena, who looked after us.
I just read you wonderful message.Thank you a lot.
I am pleased that you pass an excellent stay with us.
We will buy knives that you find at your next visit...........
We would love to meet you but our Schedule did not allow us.

All I was looking for!
If you are looking for a place to stay in Paris, congratulations, you have found it! It's a beautiful, spacious, warm and very welcoming home. Very clean and comfortable bedrooms with enough closet space (4 girls with huge luggage). You will find all you need in the kitchen to cook a meal or to brew a cup of coffee. Great location on a quiet street, two metro stops very close by and it's in walking distance to major attractions. I will definitely stay there again and highly recommend it! Thank you for sharing your home!
