Overview

About the property

2 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 5

Cool breezes and beautiful sunsets help round out this 2 bedroom, one bath rustic true log cabin in the beautiful Whispering Pines Community. Just a short walk to the open forest and a seasonal running stream in the backyard. This cabin sits on the edge of the Verde River. Enjoy a large wooden deck open and spacious floor plan. It is our vacation home so everything is here that you will need. Easily accessible from this location is Washington Park, the famous waterwheel and endless miles of hiking a biking.

The property is located 20 minutes outside of Payson and is off a paved road.

Please realize this is a wooden cabin in the forest. The forest has critters and occasional mice. There is no wheelchair access, and there are stairs at both entrances. It is only suited for people with full mobility.

No smoking on the property. It is strictly prohibited.

This property is best suited for the outdoor type who enjoys getting away from city life. You must know how to operate a wood burning stove and be able to chop wood if needed.

There is no camping allowed on the property. No additional people are allowed to camp on the property. If you have small children and want to camp with them, that is acceptable and encouraged.

The property has a cleaning team, handyman, pest control and yard cleaning company attending to the various needs.

In the winter months, it is cold in the high country. The cabin only has a wood burning stove and 2 space heaters. The water is turned off at the "main" which is located near the road. Here are things that need to be done to help maintain the cabin:

Utilities and Plumbing

1. Turn off the water at the exterior.

2. Make sure that the water supply is turned off completely at the main supply point. ...

3. Open all faucets and drain all water lines. ...

4. Unplug all space heaters.

5. Don't forget to turn off the gas at the grill.

6. Lock all doors and return the key to the lockbox.

7. Put all trash in the outdoor can when you leave.

8. Above all else, have fun!

Why Ms. Evans chose Payson

I purchased this home to get away from the heat in the Valley. We used to come up every Friday and return home just in time for school on Monday.

Beautiful Property

  • 5 of 5

The stay was wonderful, if short, however I full plan on coming back. Its a beautiful area, no traffic. Very private with multiple places to relax, including being right on a wonderful creek. Very highly recommended.

Nice and Relaxing

  • 3 of 5

We had fun with the kiddos . Not very hard to get to the place from the main road. .

Just need a few new things to make the place more attractive I e couch (too big and old ) .bedding Sheets are yucky ! We brought our own thanks god !

The foyer room smells funny when we opened the door to enter the cabin .

Having issues with lockbox since there's no receptions we couldn't call to get the lockbox # . Emailed owner a night before to provide lockbox but was Asked "to call" . Lucky the maids were there to let us in .

Over all it's a quiet , relaxing place love the river on the back deck !
