About Kerry and Danny Winchester
We are Danny and Kerry and we live in Hastings. If you need any information on the area please call or e mail us.
Kerry and Danny Winchester purchased this Cottage in 2015
Why Kerry and Danny Winchester chose Icklesham
This beach area has always been a favourite of mine since my school holidays. The location is good for people who love the beach and the countryside as both are on the doorstep. The location is perfect for travel to all the local historic towns ,beaches and gardens of the south east. Rye nature reserve is within walking distance along the fabulous coastal route. There is also a good fishing area.
What makes this Cottage unique
A fabulous property close to the beach and local pub/ restaurant in walking distance. Although a grade two listed property it has the charm of an older cottage with the benefit of a complete renovation to suit modern living.

Very comfortable, clean cottage
Cottage was really well equipped and wee were greeted with several basic provisions
A beautifully appointed house!
We wanted to find a property near Rye, to enable us to visit 3 famous gardens that have been on my ‘wish list’ for many years. This was also intended to coincide with our 40th wedding anniversary! The first impression on opening the door was “what a delightful property”, swiftly followed by “oh how kind!!”. Kerry and Danny had written a chalkboard message congratulating us, also putting a vase of flowers in the kitchen/diner. Little touches like that make all the difference. The property was spotless, beautifully appointed, and with a kitchen that had everything you could possibly need. The bedrooms had very nice linen and towels laid out, and the upstairs bathroom and downstairs shower were both excellent. Although we seemed to be out and about for most of the week, the garden with comfortable tables and chairs looked very inviting. On the day of our anniversary, I spotted a beautiful red rose, which was blooming ‘to order’. I cannot commend the property highly enough.
A very pretty well-equipped cottage
Very enjoyable - very clean - everything provided that we needed - near the sea and near the co-op shop - we really had a good time
Comfortable and well-equipped family home
Everything we needed - the kitchen met with approval of our family member/chef-in-chief. The bedrooms were roomy and not overcrowded with stuff. We were grateful for the high-chair for the 11-month old who had a great time exploring.
