About this property

Enys Boathouse - a unique and quirky holiday let in the heart of rural Cornwall

Enys Boathouse offers self catering accommodation in rural Cornwall. Situated in the heart of a Cornish village, our holiday let is deceptively spacious and comfortably furnished, sleeping up to four people.
Enys Boathouse is a unique wooden structure - a copy of the Bolney Ferry Boathouse on the River Thames. This charming property benefits from its own private terrace with panoramic westerly views out over the countryside. And, although not near to water, it does boast distant sea views.

The village of Porkellis is ideal for those seeking a quiet, rural holiday let in Cornwall.

The boathouse is a studio-style space and offers versatile self catering accommodation suitable for families, couples or groups of friends. The main living area converts into a double bedroom; a comfy double wall bed (with a proper sprung mattress) provides the main sleeping facilities - this folds away when not in use .

For smaller children (aged 5 and over) there is the added excitement of sleeping in the Crow’s Nest - only accessible via a loft ladder - a cosy sleeping space in the eaves of the property that is ideal for younger children but is spacious enough for two adults, should you prefer.

All bedding and towels are provided.

When the beds are not in use, the open plan living space is great for entertaining. A TV, with Freeview, DVD player. Free unlimited broadband is also available at the property.

A sailor's kitchen awaits for those who enjoy cooking and guests also have use of a BBQ. However, for those who prefer to eat out, the local pub - offering good value food and drink - is just a minute’s walk away.

Kitchen facilities include:

- Microwave
- Portable Oven and hob
- Small fridge and freezer
- Kettle
- On-demand hot water

Elsewhere, there is also a small dining table and, for when the sun is shining, an outdoor table, chairs and parasol are also at hand.

Enys Boathouse boasts a cosy shower room, toilet and wash basin - towels will be provided.

Should you need to wash or dry your clothes, there is also a small room located on the ground floor (where parking is also available). Here you will find a washing machine and tumble drier as well as clothes line, BBQ and deck chairs.

For those looking short breaks in Cornwall, we are happy to offer rates for minimum stays of four nights. For those looking for a weekly holiday let in Cornwall we are happy to negotiate on the change-over day, if Saturday is not convenient.

Porkellis is perfectly situated; it is a quiet country village, surrounded by green fields, yet ideally located for access to both north and south coasts, the busy towns of Helston, Falmouth and Truro and many visitor attractions.

Wonderfully quirky and comfy
Spent Christmas here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Can imagine that would be great in the summer and would be able to make better use of the private garden. Small oven made Xmas dinner a little challenging but was practical enough. Overall a great stay... thanks Mike...

Tranquil retreat
The boathouse sits up in the trees overlooking the garden. The owners thought of everything such as cooking utensils, comfy bed and plenty of little touches such as books and tourist guides to make it a great place to just chill out. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and it is close to many other towns and seaside areas. I left the boathouse feeling thoroughly revived and hope to come back again in the future. Lovely owners who sent plenty of instructions to help me find the place and make sure that I was settled in.

Loved it. Very Quirky and Cool.
We had a great 3 nights stay in the Boathouse. It was just the right size for the family of 4 considering we were mostly only there in the evening. Mike was a great host and showed us round the property. Kids slept up in the loft for the first 2 nights then my wife and I gave it a go on the final night. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay and was a good base for touring round cornwall. Would recommend thoroughly.
