Guest house is part of a 44 acre estate that includes a main house where we live, the guest house which is 1700 sq ft and a 3 car garage overlooking a very large pond that is surrounded by beautiful species of birds, toads, turtles, beavers and lots of other wild life. It is joined with conservation land and views of New Hampshire hills. The first floor offers a large living room with a propane heat stove large windows that adjoin the seating area for six. There is a new kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and all the amenities you would need in a kitchen. There is also a new and very clean full bathroom on the first floor.
The second level contains a washer and dryer, 2 bedrooms and another full bath. One bedroom has 2 twin beds and the master has a Queen size bed as well as a sleeper aero bed that comfortably sleeps another 2. The deck over looks the main house, pond and beautiful sunrises and trees for as long as your eyes could see. Property is right off of rt 5 and it is on the end of a 1/2 mile dirt road that is maintained year round.
On a tour of New England our family really enjoyed the large comfortable space to relax and view the beautiful autumn colors. Michele was a great host and the cozy guest home had everything we needed to make a meal in the kitchen, nice linens, board and card games for the kids to play, and a fantastic view of the mountains and pond. We would definitely stay there again!
The house was ideal for privacy with two couples sharing the house. Kitchen was nice and the view from the dining room window was spectacular, as well as the upstairs deck. We were there at peak fall foliage and it was amazing. Michelle was very welcoming and made us feel like guests rather than renters. We were able to meet her family and I feel like I made a friend.
We traveled to Vermont for a family wedding and decided to book a home rather than a hotel as we were traveling with our 2 year old daughter and thought she'd enjoy having her Grandparents with us as well. Michelle was very sweet and welcoming. She had milk and eggs for us knowing that we were getting in late and may not of had time to run to the store before getting to the house. We felt very much at home for our stay and would stay there again if we make it back to Putney in the future.
My family of six enjoyed our stay very much. We particularly appreciated the tidy, comfortable, and welcoming feel of your guest house, and the clear instructions for heat and etc. We will definitely stay there again if we return to your part of the world.
We were two friends and a baby traveling in VT to visit family, and we stayed here one night. The owner was friendly and easy to get in touch with. Access was good (there had been snow and we could still get up the road with a 2x car.) The small kitchen was sparely stocked with the essentials and there was no tv, but plenty of games in the closets and good wifi. Overall one of the nicest vrbo's I have stayed in on account of the spacious rooms and cleanliness.
