Nicely finished/furnished with a large wrap around deck and mountain views.
Diamond peak ski resort is located about 1/2 mile away and in the winter there is a free shuttle bus stop one block from the house that will take you to the ski resort or to the Hyatt.
When snow conditions are good there is a great sledding hill right behind the house (see photo).
Summer amenities include a heated community pool, hot tub, barbecue, and tennis courts. These facilities are 1/2 block away from the house and are usually open from Memorial day to Labor day.
Fully-stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances and two sinks. Living room includes gas fireplace and flat screen tv.
Master bedroom includes private bathroom, private deck, tv, and california king-size bed.
Second bedroom has a twin over full trundle bunk bed (two twin mattresses and one full mattress). Second bathroom has a jacuzzi tub/shower.
We are active people who love the outdoors and all the recreation opportunities tahoe has to offer!
Karin Hoida purchased this chalet in 2009
We love the proximity to the lake and to the ski resort and all the amenities incline village has to offer!
This home is perfect for a small family (4 or 5), or possibly two couples. Clean, well appointed, and close to everything. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks!!!
The Hoida family was wonderful to deal with right from the start when I made the reservations. We brought our small dog for an additional fee. The home is located just a couple of miles from Burnt Cedar Beach Club. An access card left on the kitchen counter allowed us free access to this facility which has a beach with waitresses and life guard, nicely heated pool, small water slide, snack bar, adult beverages and very clean restrooms and showers. There is also an association pool and jacuzzi right across the street from the home. Huge pluses with kids! Supermarkets are a few miles away as is our favorite Sand Harbor Beach which is a must. The house, which was spotless, looks like a beautiful Swiss Chalet with a huge balcony downstairs and one off of the MBDRM, which also has its own bathroom. There's a half bath downstairs and 2 full upstairs. The downstairs is one big area of LR, dining area and a gorgeous well appointed kitchen. They really had everything we needed and it was nice. It felt like a home, not a rental outfitted with garage sale stuff. The sectional couch downstairs didn't need to be pulled out to sleep on and there was also a smaller futon that could be pulled out. It was great having a washer and dryer, and they provided linens for all of the beds, as well as hand, bath, beach and kitchen towels. There weren't any screens on the windows, there's no AC and the central fan system is a little loud in the Master, but with the lights off, we left the Master slider and window open and we slept in fresh mountain air and really didn't get any bugs at all. This home (as many in this area) has a flight of steep steps from the street where you park to the house. No problem for us or our dog. There's a small yard with beautiful flowers and a beautiful hiking trail through the woods and gorgeous homes in the neighborhood to see. There's a gas BBQ, patio furniture and a kids playhouse. Once inside, there's a wide spiral staircase to the second story. They have child proofed much of the home including cabinets and this staircase which has a child gate at the top if you need it. I should mention that HomeAway charges their fees, and owners require you to purchase insurance. We also paid for the dog and for trip cancellation insurance, altogether adding about $100 per night to the total charges, totally worth it but be prepared. Our deposit was refunded promptly within 1 week. I really loved this home and would highly recommend it!
We went up at the end of January since the wife and dogs never experienced Tahoe before. It was snowing that evening and someone shoveled the pathway to the property and that was really nice when we were transporting our luggage inside. Everything was as advertised and we really enjoyed sledding in the back yard. It was like our own private slope. The owners are great to work with and very responsive. We would love to come back again in the summer!
My family of 4 had a great time! Very nice and clean home! I am very picky and this home did not disappoint! Would definitely stay here again.
Family of 5 stayed here and it was perfect in every way. Well stocked kitchen, very clean, cozy, wifi worked great. We brought our own sleds but there are a few sleds on site. Kids had a blast sledding down the short hill. Karen was great with communication. We will definitely stay here again next year!
We walked into a warm and welcoming house. Plenty of space for a family of 4. The house was clean & tidy, we stocked with towels, kitchenware, DVDs & games for kids.
The ability to simply walk to the end of street (3 mins) to catch the Hyatt bus to the slopes was very convenient.the ability to sled out the back of the property was great. Highly recommend.
