My wife and I booked the lodge for an extended stay with the purpose of having our wedding ceremony on this picturesque property. The owners were extremely kind and helpful with everything that we had asked for leading up to and after our blessed day. We could not imagine a more perfect backdrop for the place where the next chapter of our lives began. We would recommend this secluded and beautiful property to anyone looking for a unique place to hold their wedding or special event or anyone just looking for a peaceful place to get away. The home itself is stunning and has many exceptional features that we plan on incorporating into our home someday. We hope to return to this property in the future to celebrate our anniversary as it will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Absolutely perfect! Correspondence with the home owners before our stay made us feel like we were going to a family member's home. Spotlessly clean when we arrived and it immediately felt like home. The house is beautiful and the grounds only enhance the property. Every thing was seriously perfect. The other house guests were amazed with how incredible the house and property were. I don't have one bad thing to say about the stay or the house. I can't wait to go back.
I agree with 8/16/ Traveler..Pictures do not do justice to this beautiful home and it's amazingly landscaped surroundings! The Lodge at Singing Waters is truly a treasure among vacation rental properties! Pictures do not show the warmth of each room nor the welcoming atmosphere of twinkling lights and cascading waters that greet all who come here.
When the 4 of us arrived, we were greeted by the owners, Charlotte and David. They showed us just some of the amenities awaiting us inside the Lodge. (We found many more.) They also had a basket of snacks, including, but not limited to: The makings for S'Mores, sticky buns, assorted snacks, information on places to see and things to do, and yellow roses for my birthday/anniversary! I have rented homes many times in the past and have never felt so welcomed. My experience is that an owner's first concern is that the renter do no damage to their property and follow all the rules, which is understandable. Not so with David and Charlotte. Their first priority was our comfort, enjoyment and safety. While still in awe at the exterior of the property, we went inside the Lodge which was even more awesome!
There is a comfortable "study" where I kept in touch with my business through a wifi connection and my computer. The kitchen, dining and living room area is an open space so that no matter where you are in this living space, you can converse with everyone else. Three of us had their bedrooms on the upper level which were tastefully decorated and spacious while also being cozy. I had the luxury of the full lower level 'apartment' which had its own fireplace, living room, dining area, flat screen tv, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and large bedroom.
Walking outside was wonderful. The sound of the waterfalls, the birds, including 2 woodpeckers, and ground level sensor lights to guide you around the property. At night the fire pit beckoned to us and was fully stocked with wood to burn. The deck was just the place to enjoy morning coffee and the gazebo on the lower portion of the deck invited us to sit and relax with its twinkling lights and comfortable chairs.
We had fun visiting nearby Tunkhannock for shopping. We drove the winding roads of the Poconos and were amazed at the scenic sights, interesting farms, well-groomed lawns and homes and quant shops.
The only flaw in our stay at the Lodge?? It was over before we were ready to leave.
Thank you Charlotte and David!
Pictures do not do the house justice. It is surrounded by nature, every window displays the beauty of the property. The kitchen has everything you need and then some. It is a warm and comfortable home, the fireplace makes so cozy.We were greeted by Charlott's friend Karen who was so helpful with restaurants and things to do in the area. She was also so kind to bake us some goodies. I can't say enough about how wonderful Charlotte was in renting this property. She made it so easy. We will be back. Thanks so much for such a wonderful experience. Debbie/ Robert
We have stayed at a bed and breakfast for the past 12 years, the same weekend each year and meet up with friends from Ohio. The Inn we stayed in was closed and we decided to try The Lodge at Singing Waters. The BEST decision we ever made. The home is Beautiful and spotless. We wanted for nothing. The area is peaceful and quiet, and the fire pit was a plus for our evenings after dinner. Unfortunately we did not get to meet Charlotte and Dave, but we did meet their son, and he was Awesome!! We will definitely be returning next year!!
