|Minimum Stay||4 - 7 nights|
A spacious, 3 bedroom, ground floor apartment, cool, well equipped and luxuriously furnished.
The spacious living room has a well equipped Italian kitchen at one end and a comfortable sitting area with 2 stylish sofas at the other. Even on the hottest day, with the air conditioning turned off, the coolness of the interior strikes you.
On the Adriatic island of Brac, we have two terraces with fantastic stunning sea views across to the Dalmatian coast and mountains behind. The inner terrace is our summer dining room. Enjoy an evening drink here before the 3 minute stroll by the beach to one of the charming restaurants on the harbour.
There is a shower room with WC and a separate toilet with WC and wash basin. The three, well furnished bedrooms have comfortable beds and ample storage space. Sleeping room is for up to 5 adults and three children.
Consistent with the Croatians’ sensitive approach to development, the apartment is set back from the beach about 70 metres, with a few pine trees between us and the sea
The sea view across to the coast of Dalmatia is a delight. Sit and enjoy it of a warm evening. Sip the wine, taste the olives and watch the yachts hurrying towards their over night berth. Having worked up an appetite, stroll down to the shoreline, turn left and walk along the waterfront.
After three minutes you arrive at the picturesque harbour, with many small and colourful fishing boats. Here is the pizza restaurant, with inexpensive meals and take away.
Perhaps you stroll a few more yards to where the main street joins the harbour at Mikki's restaurant and bar, a firm favourite among our guests.
If you walk up the pretty palm-lined High Street you come to another excellent restaurant. Or you may continue your stroll around the harbour, past two more bars until you reach another favourite - the Bokuncin restaurant with its tables on the harbour edge (you MUST try the chocolate cake!)
You could walk for perhaps another 15 minutes, past 3 more bars, to a disco bar / restaurant on a pretty bay.
Retired and living in the village of Westbourne one mile inland from the South coast of England mid way between the cities of Portsmouth and Chichester. Another beautiful area so we like to spend part of the summer at home
Alan Power purchased this apartment in 2004
We felt it was a good size for our large family and very spacious - even for a three bedroom apartment. When we stood on the terrace and saw the views we immediately knew it was for us. It was the first one we saw. We thought we would look at many properties but decided on this one without seeing any others !
Right by the beach
The cool feeling on entering, even on hot days
The beautiful and friendly town
We have just enjoyed a fantastic holiday in this lovely property. Comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean when we arrived - we would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone. The booking process was smooth and the owner was very helpful. The apartment is comfortable and airy with everything you could need for a relaxing holiday -the air conditioning helped in the heat. We enjoyed meals outside overlooking the sea and Dalmation coast line. The easy walk to the beach was great and the enchanting village of Sutivan is charming with a choice of restaurants. The staff at the adventure centre in the harbour were helpful and we loved sea kayaking and the boys had a fab time mountain biking.
We would all highly recommend this property - our younger sons are already asking when we can return.
This is a great apartment - in fact apartment does not do it justice. You do not feel part of an apartment block as there is such a feeling of space and the terrace is so private that you are mostly unaware of your neighbours. I admit to being of an age where I do not want my holiday home to be less comfortable than my own home. I have to say that Claire Louise is probably much nicer than where we live. It is a treat to have somewhere so tastefully furnished, well equipped and light. From the marble floors, comfy beds, crisp sheets, everything works and it is clean and well maintained. The outside shaded terrace/dining area is a real treat as is the view and the beach just 3 minutes away so really handy if you forget something. There is also the added bonus of very accomodating owners and letting agents who are also efficient. If you are still undecided then there is also the lovely village of Sutivan which after three visits still has enough to occupy three teenagers for a couple of weeks. Over the years we have recommended Claire Louise and all have been equally smitten. The sunsets are a lasting memory for all of us.
Our holiday in Croatia was one of our best holidays ever.
Our apartment was spacious, clean and well equiped.
The harbour town of sutivan is beautiful and has everything you need, from a bakers, butchers, 2 small supermarkets
and a beautiful fresh fruit and veg stall.
We recommend Keko restaurant to suit all budgets.
Picnics on the beach with the kids was the best.
We stayed for a week in July 2008 at the apartment and had a fabulous holidy. The location is great - just a few minutes walk down to the local beach - pebbly with very clear water. Also the bars and restaurants in Sutivan are only about 5 minutes walk away - although a small village there were about 6 or 7 restaurants to choose from and we enjoyed all our meals. We hired a scooter for a couple of days to explore some of the island - lots of pretty harbours and little beaches. There is a dive centre in town and you can hire windsurfers and motor boats but we didnt do that
The apartment itself is well equipped and nicely decorated too; we spent most of the time on the terrace which has lovely views over the sea to the mainland. All in all highly recommended - we have booked to return again this year
Looking for a relaxed holiday in a very comfortable apartment in tranquil surroundings, with a wonderful climate, warm clear seas, friendly people and interesting places to visit? This is for you!
The apartment is 40 m back from the beach, with nothing between except pine trees. Children and adults enjoy 'our' beach of white round pebbles lapped by a beautiful, clean, clear and warm sea. There are three other lovely beaches within 10 minutes walk and a very picturesque beach with a sandy bottom 20 minutes walk along the shore or 10 minutes in the car.
Sutivan is a beautiful and friendly small town with a harbour which is 3 minutes walk along the waterfront. Facilities in the town include
- Restaurants and bars (many on the harbour and water front)
- Hotel Lemon Garden, also on the harbour - the only 5 star hotel in the Adriatic islands with cocktail bar and restaurant,
- One large and two smaller supermarkets, fresh fruit & vegetable stall, bread shop, fish shop and a number of shops selling beach wear and gifts
- Mountain biking is very popular on the island due to its mountainous centre. There is bike hire in the town. It is possible to be taken by truck to the top of Vidova Gora (780 metres - the highest point in the adriatic islands) and to come cycle back to Sutivan alone or with a guide
- Car and scooter hire,
- Water sports centre - canoes, windsurfers, sailing dinghy, motor boat hire
- Mini-zoo, gym
- Coastal walks take you past several secluded beaches in both directions . Walking up the many paths up the hills leading out of the town take you to a number of high points with breathtaking views.
- During the summer there are other outdoor events such as concerts, klapa singing nad dancing by the harbour
The Island of Brac has fascinating towns set around interesting harbours, and sights like the amazing view from Vidova Gora of many of the islands such as Hvar and Korcula. Bol is a famous holiday resort on the other side of the island. It can be reached by car, motor scooter /bike, bus or boat.
Boat trips are available from the harbour to the two UNESCO heritage towns of Split and Trogir and some of the other islands. There are also trips to OMIS and the Cetina Gorge on the mainland. Attractions here include white water rafting and a dramatic 2100 metre zip wire which goes across the gorge
