Lovely cottage in fantastic location. It is very roomy and well equipped.

We so enjoyed viewing wildlife through the back sliding doors or from the back patio. We watched two eagles and their nest every day as well as many other birds. The cottage is close to several parks, restaurants, and shopping. Great place for kayaking. The owners really cared about making our stay wonderful. I cannot imagine a better place for nature lovers and I highly recommend this charming cottage.

What a nice setting, on the river, great view, lots of birds, even blue heron and great egret coming up to the patio door. Very comfortable, older kitchen without DR or disposal and older bathroom, but functional. Nice furniture, big living room, tiny bedrooms,2 patios, for sun or shade. Washer and dryer were very handy. A short drive to Hernando Beach park now called Linda Pedersen preserve, lovely spot and perfect manatee viewing in Feb. Also saw a few right at the cottage.

Beautiful scenery!

Comfortable, cozy, & clean with an incredible view of the Weeki Wachee Preserve & river. You can jump in the water right out back. Saw a family of manatees swimming right out back too. You look out the sliding glass doors & there it is. Beautiful sunrises & sunsets. Wifi, works well. The owners have a handy information book with a list of restaurants (& menus) nearby, shopping, & entertainment. (movies, miniature golf, deep sea fishing, Weeki Wachee mermaid show etc.) Would book again!

The Weeki Wachee River is a river in Hernando County, Florida, United States. It flows 7.4 miles (11.9 km)[1] westwards from Weeki Wachee to the Gulf of Mexico at the Weeki Wachee estuary. The name is derived from the Seminole: uekiwv /oykéywa, wi:-/ 'spring' and -uce /-oci/ 'small', signifying either a small spring or an offshoot of a town named Spring. The river is best known for its spring, and the Weeki Wachee Springs attraction built on the premises. The spring is the surfacing point of an underground river, which is the deepest naturally occurring spring in the United States. It measures about 150 feet (46 m) wide and 250 feet (76 m) long, and daily water averages 170 million gallons (644 million liters). The water temperature is a steady 74.2 °F (23.4 °C) year-round.
