Its location allows to link together the quiet of the house and the open air life with the possibility of reaching in short time: Taormina and Giardini Naxos, their sea and their meeting-places and carrying out numerous excursions of both naturalistic and cultural interest (Volcano Etna,the gorges and the medieval towns of the Alcantara valley,the baroque towns of Acireale and Catania.

Home among the orange trees

This was a great holiday house for us. We particularly liked being surrounded by orange and lemon trees and we were invited to eat as many oranges as we liked. An electric juicer was supplied so we could have fresh juice each morning. As a family of 4 adults and 2 children, it was perfectly well equipped for us. The second bathroom is outside, but the weather was warm so this wasn't a problem. The owner made it every easy for us and arranged for us to be met and taken to the house by his colleague, who showed us all over the house and how everything worked. If we had any problems (which we didn't) it was great to know that we had someone nearby to contact.

Owner's Response: Many thanks for the appreciated notes received. We look for rending our guests all the best for their holidays. Near the house there are countrymen who could be contacted during the week for any problem. At this purpose, their phone number is left to the guests in addition to the owner phone number.

Good sized accommodation let down by location

My wife and I went to stay in the property for a relaxing break away from it all, which is how the house is described. There is no mention in the descriptions or previous reviews that the house is located next to a small olive oil processing operation. The time of year that we stayed (end of October) meant that the small factory and its equipment was working non-stop from 5.30 in the morning until midnight. The noise was very loud and not at all conducive to a relaxing break, so we stayed only one night as opposed to the planned four. Our advice would be to check with the owner to ensure that the factory is not operating when you plan to stay - if it's not then I would concur with previous reviews as to the accommodation itself.

Owner's Response: I apologised with the guest for the trouble unintentionally caused by the came earlier operation of a small oil-press that's not mine. Infact, the operation was foreseen in November. Of course, I reimbursed the rent's price to the guest.

"We stayed in for 1 week, 5 adults and a 6 years old boy during the winter seasons. We loved the house, the fireplace in the living, the kitchen well-equipped, the citric orchard, the neighborhood quiet and safe. The view is spectacular, especially when you see

Etna through the master bedroom window. The access from the airport is easy, by car, we took the Naxos Giardino exit from the highway, we kept the road to Trapitello and then we turned right to a short country road among fruit trees; every day we drove to other cities eg Taormina, Catania, Siracusa or Messina but we had misunderstandings with the road signs though. In the house, we needed some extra stoves, and the owner mr. Fiamingo solved the situation promptly and with dedication. This way, the house was warm, very pleasant and cozy with a stove per bedroom and with the fire we sat by every evening. The house is overall clean and we also used the second bathroom from outside the house, we actually found it at ease. We intend to come back here during the summer as well."

"We absolutely loved the house, which was nestled amongst lemon groves within walking distance of the one-road village of Trappitello (between Giardini-Naxos and the Alcantara Gorge). The owner had really thought of everything: a well-equipped kitchen, washing machine, air-conditioning and lovely surroundings with lots of privacy. The privacy aspect was also a bit of a negative; though close to the village, the house is also somewhat isolated, at the end of a 500-metre unpaved road. Great value for money!"

Beautiful place!

We had a very nice stay in Taormina in the quiet house of Casimiro. In an orangetree yard surrounded by mountains and view on the Etna... perfect. Oranges and lemons were provided, juicer too! Also a very friendly and accurate Mr Gaetano who helped us checking in and there where we had questions, he was there for us. Thanks!

un petit séjour bien agréable (mai 2017)

Maison très coquette au milieu des orangers, il faut apprécier l'isolement, belle vue sur l'Etna au loin.

Très agréable de savourer chaque matin , au calme, un jus frais de citron ou d'orange et de déguster les nèfles, merci au propriétaire et à Gaétano pour sa disponibilité et la cueillette des agrumes.
