It was a beautiful stay for my family of 8 as we celebrated my sisters wedding. The house accommodated all needs and the breakfast, every day was on time and delicious! Just blocks away from the train station as some members of the group traveled in from Chicago. The house is in a perfect spot to walk the town. The owners helped us manage a last minute BBQ with plenty of chairs and space under the detached covered patio. The kitchen was well stocked and allowed us to cook several family size meals together as well. Plenty of room with the bedrooms and bathrooms to make everyone feel "spaced out". This place was fantastic and we can't wait to use the house again.
Eight of us--2 couples and the bride and bridesmaids--stayed here for a wedding. It is an amazing restored house updated with luxurious and modern amenities. Bedrooms were huge with wonderful mattresses and linens. Baths had everything you needed, with a jacuzzi in one. Kitchen and common areas were large and accommodating and your every need and wish has been thought of and provided for. Outdoor spaces include front porch, back deck and a covered gathering/BBQ area with a firepit and the making for smores. The breakfast delivered hot every morning was bountiful and delicious. Great historic Hermann location within walking distance of everything or take the trolley where you want to go. We were so happy with the Von Geminden house and the thoughfulness and hospitality of Brant and his staff.
8 of spent the weekend here and the house was wonderful. We each had our own bathroom. It was very clean. Everything you would need right there in the house. The owner even made a fire for in the firepit outside and left marshmallows and chocolate for us. Very very comfy. Would def stay here again and I will recommend to my friends.
Hermann, MO is an old German settlement located in the middle of beautiful rolling hills along the Missouri River. It's quaint Historic District, full of shops, antiques, restaurants and bars, is full of beautiful buildings dating back as far as the 1830's. It is also home to Missouri's first Wine Trail, two great museums and a town full of friendly folks.
