|Minimum Stay||2 - 5 nights|
A beautiful, comfortable home in a leafy, quiet neighborhood. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck in the morning sun or a glass of wine while grilling in the evening. (Or a soak in the small hot tub.)
You will have this three bedroom home all to yourself: large, comfortable bedrooms (air conditioning in two of them); two bathrooms; a big TV room; bright and airy dining room and living room.
Guests also have access to a washer and dryer conveniently located next to the upstairs bedrooms.
Everything is close: In five minutes you can be in the Old Port with it's world class restaurants and shops or on I-295 headed to Freeport. And if you're flying home at the end of your visit you can be at the airport and through security in about 15 minutes.
We own this two-family house, and you will be staying in the unit that is our home, which consists of the top two floors. We have four bedrooms and three bathrooms--you'll have access to everything except our bedroom/bathroom and study. One of your bedrooms has a king and the other two have queens.
High speed internet access is included.
Ours is an old house--and has old house quirks--but we find it comfortable and charming. We hope you do too.
Born and raised in Maine, I now split my working life between Portland and in Washington, DC. My summers are spent, as much as possible, sailing the Maine coast.
Will purchased this house in 2011
Wonderful home! The space was great and great location! We were very comfortable!
The home has fun and funky art work, furniture and layout. We enjoyed the hot tub off the kitchen, well appointed kitchen & plenty of room for everyone. Lovely neighborhood, close to grocery and main roads.
We stayed here for a weekend with another couple. We enjoyed the house. Although it felt a bit like a maze, this only added to the charm of the multiple rooms and spread out feeling it gave us. The beds were super comfortable and there was no shortage of towels. Thanks. The modern appliances in the kitchen were easy to use. There was some food in the frig & freezer, but still enough space for all of our food items. The kitchen had plenty of pantry items that made it easy for us, such as salt and pepper and paper towels. The one draw back was the oven, it needed a cleaning, but this can be easily resolved. The oven also needed the digital readout to be repaired, however the owner has indicated he has ordered the part, so hopefully that is now repaired. There are two bathrooms, one on the second floor, one on the third, so it made it comfortable for each couple to have their own space. Just a note, the second floor bathroom only has a tub, the third floor bathroom only has a shower. This was no problem for us. If we are in Portland again we would enjoy staying here again.
This home was perfect for two couples sharing the home. Could have held more people. Lots of rooms, you could get lost! The home was clean, comfortably furnished and was the backdrop of a lovely weekend in Portland. Kitchen and pantry were well stocked with supplies. We did have to share the one shower which was a very minor inconvenience--the second bathroom had a tub only. Would stay there again.
We could not have found a more perfect home to rent. It was central to all points of travel while we were in Portland. It was very roomy and accommodating to all that stayed there. Will and Sarah you have a wonderful rental and the way you maintain it one can see the pride you have for your home. We would not hesitate to rent it again. We were 6 adults and were never in each others way. Again thank you Will and Sarah it was a pleasure renting your home.
