Overview

About the property

A fabulous converted Victorian house with breathtaking panoramic sea views.

Situated on top of the White Cliffs between Broadstairs and Ramsgate and just an 8 minute walk to a beautiful sandy bay with its own beach cafe and toilet facilities (seasonal openings), this well equipped flat makes a great holiday home for people who want peace and quiet. The lounge /diner has double doors opening onto a balcony directly overlooking the sea. It is perfect for relaxing, reading or watching the world go by as you sit in the warm sunshine drinking your morning coffee and listening to the sound of the sea!

There is a well fitted modern kitchen with built in oven and hob, integrated fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble drier so everything you need is to hand. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom (shower over bath) and a balcony where you can enjoy the evening sun. There is a twin room and separate shower room with toilet. Off road parking for one car.

This two bedroom property was converted into four flats about 14 years ago. During that time the owners have spent many happy holidays down there.

If you enjoy hiking or cycling, Broadstairs is on route 15 of the 32 mile (51.4km) Viking Coastal trail. Why not cycle or walk to one of the many micro pubs and breweries that are springing up all over Thanet. These micro pubs are often small converted shops where real ale or cider is proudly served and conversation flows as much as the beer!

History abounds! This was Dickens' favourite holiday spot! Explore a wealth of Dickens memorabilia at the Dickens House Museum. Joss Bay, named after the notorious 18th century smuggler Joss Snelling, is well worth a visit and Botany Bay was a contraband hot-spot. In Ramsgate discover the secret underground tunnels which saved the lives of many people by providing shelter from the blitz in the second world war. The new Turner centre in Margate is well worth a visit, as is the Old Town Square for vintage and retro shops. The port's Sea Searcher offers wildlife-watching tours and fishing charters, RIB Request offers seal, wind farm and ship spotting trips, while Galleon Cruises allows you to hire your very own sleek cruiser.

High-speed services mean the shores of Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Margate are less than two hours away from London.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Everything exceeded our expectations, a big, living dining area with well equipped kitchen, just perfect for eating, drinking and admiring the view. We loved having a drink on the balcony and watching the world go by, it’s a no through road so you hardly see any cars. No WIFI, but that wasn’t a problem as most of the coffee shops have WIFI. Our favourites were the Albion Hotel in Broadstairs, the Beach Bar under the arches and the Brassiere on the harbour wall in Ramsgate. We were fortunate with the weather and hardly used the car, if you time it right you can walk through the park to Ramsgate and back along the beach, but do check the tide! Did lots of cycling and walking and can’t wait to go back to explore more and spend more time in this lovely apartment. "

Smart, lots of space and light, great balcony views.

If you want somewhere that has everything you need for a restful break then this lovely apartment is for you. Large, light and airy, fully furnished with all you need - a home away from home.

Beds are very comfortable, the lounge is huge and the views are amazing.

This was my first visit to Broadstairs and it will not be my last. Such a gentle pace, a stroll along the cliffs or an Ice Cream at Moreli's took away the stress of life.

Thanks Gill for having us as guests.

Lovely sea view

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay and even more enjoyable than the first as we stayed for longer! The sea views and balcony are really what set this property apart, the whole of the English Channel right over to France is visible and always interesting no matter the weather. It is also very peaceful as there is only a minor road in front which leads to houses further along so very little traffic.

The property is exactly as described, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The beach really is just 5 minutes away and if you don't mind walking Broadstairs takes only 15-20 minutes and it is a nice walk.

There is a caretaker on call should you have any problems and a small query I had during my stay was dealt with quickly and courteously.

We definitely want to come back again, shame our time there passed so quickly!
