A mid-terrace cottage located just a two minute walk from the centre of Skipton, known as the Gateway to the Dales. Traditional character. Lots to see and do in the area. Grassington 9 miles.

Rose Cottage is a mid-terrace cottage in Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales. The cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms which are made up of a double and a twin room. There is also a bathroom, a kitchen with a dining area, and a sitting room with a gas fire. Outside there is roadside parking on nearby streets, on a first come, first served basis and a yard with furniture. A short stroll takes you to the medieval castle, one of the oldest in the country, as well as the lively canal basin. Not to be missed is the fabulous four-day market, which is set out down the entire length of the main high street, along with the many excellent pubs and restaurants of this much-loved town. Rose Cottage is ideally located, just a two minute walk to the town centre where you'll find all the amenities you'll need. Amenities: Electric storage and convector heaters with gas fire. Gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, TV with Freeview, DVD, CD/radio, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair. Roadside parking on nearby streets on first come, first served basis. Enclosed yard with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops and pub 2 mins walk. Note: Hot water supplied from a gas boiler. Note: Property is on a steep hill. Note: Check-in 2.30pm.

Very conveniently situated to centre of town by 2 minute walk. House very comfortable and well appointed - certainly has everything we needed. Would stay again.

Loved our stay.

We found Rose Cottage to be very clean and conveniently located close to the downtown of Skipton and within reach to attractions in the area. We enjoyed hiking Pendle Hill, visiting Skipton Castle, Bolton Abby, Amble Craig. We day tripped to the Lake District, and to Hawarth and really enjoyed both. We also traveled to Black Pool, but would not really recommend that to others. We appreciated the ample supply of books and maps supplied at Rose Cottage. We would definitely recommend Rose Cottage to our friends.

Clean and well equipped

Lovely house in a very quiet area, despite being only a three minute walk from the busy town centre. The house was clean and tidy, and well equipped. The owners have a greetings folder giving information about the house and local numbers of repair people (should you need them), along with local doctors, dentists and chemists.

The house ready for all your holiday needs, it has lots of OS maps, which we found very useful when driving through the dales, and lots of tourist information all in a folder.

I would recommend this house as it cannot be faulted for price and location.
