Come enjoy our beautiful Craftsman style home in the historic Alameda Depot District in the downtown area and near the famous Farmers Market.
Our home is warm and inviting with 3-bedrooms, 3 full baths (with jetted tub in master bath) with large open kitchen, wet bar and wine chiller, separate sitting area, flat screen tv, wireless internet access, and washer and dryer.
Our home is beautifully landscaped in both the front and back outdoor living areas.
The original part of the house was built in 1946 and has been recently renovated to include all the modern amenities without losing its original charm.
Relax or entertain on the large deck with the tranquil sounds of a waterfall and fish pond and views of the Organ Mountain peaks.
You will love the proximity to downtown, two parks, the first within half a block includes a swimming pool and tennis courts.
The Farmers Market is only a few blocks away as is downtown Las Cruces. You'll also enjoy a five-minute drive to Old Mesilla, a quaint little town with shopping and restaurants where you can enjoy the local New Mexican cuisine.
If you enjoy mountain climbing or exploring new sites, the Organ Mountains and White Sands National Park are within driving distance.
I enjoy running daily with my dog Harley, a beautiful black lab who hates water. I grew up in the southwest and love the desert - there's nothing like the smell of the desert after it rains! Hiking the beautiful Organ mountains will be one of my favorite things to do when my husband Robert and I move to Las Cruces.
Cooking is one of my hobbies and I love cooking New Mexican and Mexican cuisine- I make a mean roasted chile (pepper) salsa!
My husband Robert and I look forward to someday moving to Las Cruces to the beatiful home you'll enjoy on your vacation in this beautiful oasis in the desert.
We'd love to have you as a guest!
Robert and I bought this home in Las Cruces because we fell in love with it as soon as we saw it. We love the downtown historic area of Las Cruces and are glad our home fits right in this beautiful neighborhood.
You'll love watching the sunrise on the huge deck in the beautifully landscaped backyard to the sounds of a waterfall in the coy pond.
In the evening you can enjoy watching the sunset sitting in the front porch on our two comfortable rocking chairs.
Jamie was the perfect guest. It was hard to tell anyone had stayed in the house. We hope Jamie comes back soon!
This was truly a "home away from home"!
My husband and I stayed in this spacious and comfortable home for one month, while he worked in Las Cruces. We both agreed that this was one of the best VRBOs we've stayed in over the years. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with everything you need, including a crock pot and a variety of spices and condiments. The beds are comfortable with nice sheets and comforters. I especially loved sitting on the back patio and enjoyed the view of the Organ Mountains. We also loved the big outdoor grill and used it many times.
The house is located within a 10 - 15 minute walk to downtown Las Cruces. There isn't a whole lot to do downtown (good bookstore and yoga studio), but the Saturday farmer's market is well worth the walk.
Martha and her husband are gracious hosts who respected our privacy, but were always available if we needed them to answer questions. I would stay here again without hesitation.
We loved our stay and are already planning a return.
We just returned from our stay in Las Cruces tonight! The house is simply amazing.
My family and I stayed here over the middle of September to celebrate my husband and I getting married. The house was beautiful and in a really pretty hidden part of town! And its within easy walking distance of the local Farmers Market. The house is well hidden from the street as there's two giant trees out front, and looks small from the front as well. To my surprise though the house was huge, roomy, and more than comfortable. With a huge patio, two sitting areas and a pond in the back yard it was a great little place to celebrate. The kitchen is fully stocked with applicances and what ever you may need to make dinner, and has table settings for 8. This was a tremendes help when having the reception! Thank you so much to Martha and Robert for your hospitality! I hope we meet again.
No details were spared. This home is beautiful. So much space. Beautifully decorated. Clean clean clean! And so comfortable, I could have stayed forever. Best owners ever. They were right there when we needed them too! I'm sure we'll be back! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!
Our home is located in the downtown Alameda Train Depot Historic District. It's only a short walk from the famous Farmers Market.
