Plan now for your Annecy vacation. This 1930s apartment is charming, correct and close to everything. The old world Saturday morning open air market across the street contrasts with the modern shopping just down the block. The famous canaled 14th century Old Towne Annecy is a five minute walk from the apt. At 400 metres the crystal clear Lac Annecy offers a beautiful park, swimming, and other outdoor activities. Mountains surround the lake and city. This apt. is IN Annecy, not in a town NEAR Annecy. Annecy is a great base city for day skiing. There are several stations 30 minutes away. Chamonix, Grenoble and Albertville are all within one hour. If someone wants a day off, Annecy is a wonderful town to explore. All year long.

About Karen Roalson

We are Craig and Karen Roalson, Americans that lived in Annecy for three years from 2002-2005. We purchased the apartment before moving back to Iowa. It was in very poor shape and we love going back to do "fix-up" projects. The "good bones" of this 1930s apartment that we fell in love with are starting to show and they are appreciated! We have more to do but our returning renters have been enjoying the progress right along with us! We'd love for you to join us in this fun adventure!

Why Karen Roalson chose Annecy - Lake Annecy area

We decided on this property for two main reasons. The first is its excellent location. It is close to several main areas: the lakefront, the train/bus station, the Olde Towne and convenient shopping (including grocery stores). The second is the size of the apartment. It has two bedrooms and sleeps a family of four very comfortably. The third bedroom provides a separate space from the living area for a tv and office space. There is a fold out sofa for a group of up to six visitors. The apartment is on an elevated ground floor so a private garden is part of the rental. There are about six steps from the building entrance to the apartment door.

What makes this apartment unique

Our managers speak both English and French fluently. There are items geared toward families such as high chair, booster chair and summer beach items.

Excellent apartment. Very comfortable

"Great apartment, that was really easy to get too and a spacious clean house with an outside area. Really central and close by to all the shops, restaurants and old town as well as the lake. No need for a car although it was no problem to park in the apartments car park.

A great place to stay to in a lovely city. "

"Très bien situé, confortable, chaleureux (un peu vieillot). Equipements très complets.

Des propriétaires au contact très sympathique.

Parking occasionnellement difficile (7 places pour 8 appartements).

Assez bruyant dans le séjour et une des 3 chambres (donnent sur une rue où passent souvent des ambulances)

A 30 minute drive by car from the Geneva airport.

A 10 minute walk/5 minute taxi ride from the Annecy train station.

One hour bus ride from Geneva.

If driving by car, a parking space is provided. Bike rentals are also possible. Bus stop is next to apt. Annecy is a great spot to explore, but it is also a great base spot for day trips.
