We really enjoyed our stay here. If you want to stay in a neighborhood and room with some history and character, this is for you. Sara and her family are a delight. A subway line straight to Central Park, midtown, and downtown is less than a minute walk from the front door. The neighborhood was safe and charming. We would do it again without hesitation.
Thank you so much for your review. You are both welcome here anytime and bring your children! You are both so lovely and warm. Happy to have met you!! Thanks for being so truly wonderful.
A bit misleading
we were a bit disappointed that the apartment was not self contained as it did not state on the web site we would be sharing with the owners what happened to the kitchen in the photo? some mornings we didn’t have enough mugs or bowls to use and the tv did not work no instructions the owners were very pleasant the accommodation was warm and the shower was hot,a comfortable chairs would have been good after a tiring day.the accommodation was ideal for the subway and was very quiet
Beautiful room in hospitable home
Sarah and her family were lovely to meet and very accommodating! The room and bath were very comfortable with all the amenities I could ask for--I was especially grateful for the A/C. I appreciated the morning coffee, access to storage in the fridge, proximity to the train, restaurant recommendations for nearby, come/go as needed access, flexible scheduling, hot shower and soft bed. The room was very spacious with plenty of outlets, privacy, and a lovely little library. I would definitely stay again when visiting the Harlem/Morningside Heights area.
Great Place to Stay
Very enjoyable stay, Sara & JJ are wonderful hosts with a great family. The room was very clean and had a "down home" feel. We would absolutely stay there again.
I was leary of booking this type of accommodation because i thought of the potential "nightmare" that it turn out to be. BOY WAS I WRONG!!! Everything was great ... it really felt like home, so much so, we hated to leave. My only suggestion is a larger, more visible trashcan inside the room, an ironing board and a small "dorm-sized" refrigerator inside the room.
The extra touches of the wi-fi, pamphlets with area attractions, etc ... were nice too.
Lovely host . Nice bedroom. Kitchen available for use . Eady to get around .
Nice to be in a beautiful heritage home . Meeting Sara was a delight . At times were woken up by the very cute boys footsteps above in the early morning . Didn't last too long . Nice mixed neighbourhood. Everything you need close by .
