About Enrico Barbieri

I am a young graduate in history who loves to travel and meet people from around the world. For this, not only for economic reasons I decided to rent my house. I love my village and I dedicate a lot of time as a volunteer, to promote it by organizing tourist events. For those interested I can in fact act as a guide in the natural, historical and artistic center of Framura.

Beautiful view and peaceful stay near Cinque Terre

  • 4 of 5

We arrived at the beginning of the low season so had less choices in terms of restaurants, etc. being open but Enrico gave great suggestions and we enjoyed every day we were there. It's important to know that Framura is the region/commune and not the name of the town; the property is in Costa. We walked all the way down to the sea and train station of Framura and took the local bus back up (buy your ticket ahead at the hotel or it's more on the bus) but it was also nice to drive down since the bus doesn't run all evening. The quietness of the village was a stark contrast with the crowds in the Cinque Terre villages/Levanto and only a short train ride away. We loved the terrace and room with sea views although the steps to bedrooms are steep with the bathroom downstairs. Be prepared to do some good walking up and down stairs in the villages anyway--a great work-out! As an alternative, there is a walking/biking trail going through an old train tunnel; we walked to neighboring Bonassola but the trail also goes all the way to Levanto. We also loved Pizza Fausta in Piazza, based on Enrico's suggestion. Great place to stay!

All I can say is wow!

  • 5 of 5

This rental has it all: helpful and kind owners, stunning views, clean and comfortable living spaces, and all the necessary essentials to make a home away from home. Framura is lovely and a welcome respite from the crowds in the Cinque Terre. My friends and I could not have asked for a better experience.

A great place to stay with a fantastic host

  • 5 of 5

Framura is a delight and Enrico was very welcoming and knowledgeable. It is much calmer than the cinqueterre and just as spectacular

The apartment is very clean and has a great terrace with views over the village and sea.

Be warned everything is on a steep hill so getting around involved effort especially in the heat. However it is easy to get into a rhythm that works.

There are lovely walks from the door into the mountains and framura has some really good restaurants

It would be a great place to stay anyway but Enrico made it special as he knows the village and area so well

We will be back

  • 5 of 5

  • 5 of 5

Car: recommended

- The village of Framura, one of the 250 "most beautiful villages of Italy", is situated between the Cinque Terre and Portofino, easily reachable by train. The five small villages that compose (Castagnola, COSTA, Sect, and Ravecca Anzo) are immersed in unspoiled nature that offers breathtaking scenery.

- Beaches and cliffs that caress a cobalt blue sea and the forests of many colors make this country one of the most beautiful and unspoiled locations of Liguria.

- The depths of Framura welcome numerous marine species that make this part of the coast a paradise for those who love diving. For a guided tour simply contact the dive center located near the Marina.

- For those who love walking in the woods, looking for the intense aromas and distinctive nature of the Mediterranean, Framura is certainly the right place; the territory of this small town is in fact crossed by numerous ancient paths that make it a veritable temple trekking.

- A convenient bike cycle / pedestrian entirely on sea links with Framura Bonassola and Levanto through the flat route of the old railway. Down the stretch you can also access to beaches and coves, such as Porto Louse, where she was fitted a rock wall to practice climbing.
