The perfect accomodation if you are visiting our area for holiday or leisure.

This delightful village house built in 1790 has many of its original features. Its location makes it unique: in a quiet street, 40 m. from the beach and two minutes walk to the restaurants and amenities. The two floor house has been tastefully renovated with charm & atmosphere. Ground floor: spacious living/dining room, study with fire place, well appointed kitchen with tipycal Catalan tiles with eating area, large living-dining room, 2nd living room with fireplace, guests toilet, garage (2 cars), garden , new pool and a wonderful outside porch with dining area. First floor: 1 double bedroom, 1 double bedroom en-suite and the master bedroom of 40 sqm with 2 dressing rooms and en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower and bath. Terrace and laundry room. Adjoining this terrace we have a covered porch / solarium and games room containing a pool table. This room is also reachable from the garden by a stone staircase.

Coast, beach and tourist attractions : Catalonia boasts many sites of architectural and historical interest, including the Greek and Roman ruins at St. Martí d'Empuries, Romanesque churches, medieval villages, the Dali museum at Figueras and Dali's house at beautiful Cadaques. And of course no visit would be complete without a trip to exciting Barcelona, the native city of the architect Gaudi. There are many fiestas and cultural events in the local area. The Costa Brava (wild coast) is one of the most attractive parts of the Spanish coastline, with rocky coves alternating with long, sandy beaches. This area boasts many four- and five-star blue flag bathing beaches, as well as some of the most picturesque seaside resorts you'll see anywhere in the Mediterranean. The kids will adore our acres of golden sand and safe swimming (with lifeguards permanently on hand), not to mention the huge water park in nearby Platja d’Aro. The council organises free activities for the kids in summer.

Sports:: In the ssurrounding area there is a wide range of sporting opprtunities like tennis, diving, sailing, surfing, water skiing, wind surfing and horse riding. Walkers will enjoy the views along the Catalan coastal paths, some more challenging than others. When the weather is not too hot, more seasoned walkers can explore the way-marked routes through the nearby Gavarres hills, or venture further afield to the Pyrenees. An unforgettable trip is a steep ride up the rack railway between dramatic peaks to the Valley of Nuria, more than 2000 metres above sea level, where no cars are allowed, and only the hotel guests remain when the last train departs before supper time. There is lots of great biking on road and off road, with no need to take the car. Bikes can be rented locally.

You can even try your hand at a spot of sea fishing.

Shops and restaurants: : Modern and cosmopolitan Platja d'Aro has it all - fashionable stores, lots of tourist shops, cafés and restaurants, plus a lively nightlife. Nearby Palamos is a charming Catalan port, with traditional restaurants, cafés, tapas bars and shops. There's plenty of al fresco eating in any of the lovely seaside towns and villages in the area and you can shop in bustling local markets, well-stocked supermarkets or speciality stores.

We have had a fabuluos three weeks in the villa. The weather has been fantastic and the villa is a perfect base for a family holiday. The resort has been excellent with lots of great restaurants. The children have enjoyed the pool and the internet has been a great addition for them.

  • First floor: There is a large landing leading to 3 double bedrooms. At the front of the house one of the bedrooms have 2 single beds with fitted wardrobes, the other bedroom is an en-suite and has an antique Catalan bed Queen size (150x200 cm.) and fitted wardrobe. The adjoining bathroom is tastefully decorated in blue and white tiles complete with bath and shower. The second bathroom has yellow and white tiles and also has bath and shower. The master bedroom, at the rear of the house, is facing the garden. This delightful room has a King size bed (180x200cm.), 2 dressing rooms and an en-suite bathroom, with walk-in shower, bath and double fitted washbasin set in a fitted wooden unit. This room has French doors with lead onto a large terrace overlooking the garden and the pool. From here there is a access to a laundry room with washing machine, this room is also reachable from the garden by a stone staircase.

The spacious living/dining room on the ground floor has 2 sofas, coffee table and TV, there is an arched entrance to the domed ceiling dining area with seating capacity for 10 people. Also on this level there is a study with fire place. Along the corridor there is a well appointed kitchen beautifully decorated with typical Catalan tiles, complete with electric appliances, there is also an eating area with table and chairs for 4 people and access to the patio/garden and to the pool. Next to the kitchen there is a cloakroom toilet and access to a second living room with many original features, here you can find a game table for 4 people, a three-piece sofa, 2 armchairs, 1 rocking chair, coffee table, a large log burning fire place and French doors which lead onto the garden and the pool. There is also a covered porch with 1 table, 8 chairs and 4 sunbeds. Also available: iron and ironing board - 1 cot (crib) - 2 hairdryer

The accommodation was excellent, extremely spacious, in excellent condition and with all facilities, making for a most enjoyable stay. Fantastic family holiday

We stayed here with my 2 year old son and my husband's family. The accomodation is beautifully presented out with an exceptional amount of space. The location is fantastic, just a few steps from the beach. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. We had a couple of issues while we were there (wi-fi and cooker breakdown) but these were fixed immediately, no problem. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, my little boy especially!

The house was perfect. Literally a block from the ocean. But if you don't feel like making the short walk, the swimming pool was lovely. Plenty of room in the house for everyone. Most importantly, the kitchen was well equipped with lots of space. Such a beautiful home.

Highly recommended and would defintiely stay again

From the start, the organisation by the owner Neus was exemplary. Very good communications led to a complete confidence in the booking. The property itself was incredible, the photos, good as they are, simply do not do it justice. Although the property is old (typical Catalan), it has been throroughly modernised and is very clean and well maintained. Nicely furnished and comfy beds. Neus was very flexible and met us on arrival and departure but then respected our privacy at all other times. The propery is great for adults and families with teenagers - the outdoor pool and the 'pool'/lesiure room were perfect. Every need appeared to have been catered for including a welcome pack (nice gesture), walk-in his and her wardrobes with dressing gowns and even a pair of GHD's in the main en-suite. The location is also brilliant - if you just happen to get bored with the pool the beach is metres away. An excellent cafe/bar on the beach front corner with friendly staff and a great selection of other bars and restaurants are all in close walking distance. Palamos Town for more shopping is a 20 minute stroll. Perfect and worth every penny! Thank you Neus!

Very enjoyable holiday at Can Casellas

Ideal situation for the beach and surrounding area with all services nearby.

The house it self is very well appointed, pristine and offers all modern appliances.

The decor is very tasteful and comfortable.

The spacious master bedroom is exquisite with the double dressing room and en-suite bathroom,

something special !

The pool area and porch were very inviting at anytime of the day and the billiard

room, upstairs, was an extra "bonus". And important addition was the private interior parking.

We appreciated the fact that the owner, Neus, was at our disposition at all times, she was a great help

in recommending restaurants, places to visit and any local activities which are offered to visitors.

Thank you Neus for your hospitality and hope to see you again soon. We will definitely recommend
