Overview

About the property

3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms located downtown Wallace with Mountain Views

The Banker was built in 1905 and is Located on the main drag of Downtown Wallace. My place is close to restaurants and dining, brewery's, bike and hiking trails, Lakes and rivers, minutes away from two amazing ski resorts. It has great views, and is walking distance from art and culture. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets). KVH focuses on cleanliness, professionalism, and helping you enjoy the experience of staying in Wallace.

Jana's favorite eats (not to forget drinks):

City Limits Pub and Grill: walk or drive down Bank then up 4th street, under the freeway. A 5-10 minute walk.

1313 Club- Historic Salon and Grill: Located on Bank st, only a 2 minute walk. This place has been around for ever and is a staple when we visit.

Wallace Brewery: Adjacent to The 1313 Club. Your neighbor is the Master brewer and his beer is outstanding

The Fainting Goat: 20 yards down Bank st.

Smoke House BBQ & Saloon: 30 yards down Bank Street. I admit I've never made it to this joint, but I hear it's good. Let me know?

About Lay's Vacation Properties

We have been vacationing at 418 Bank since 2005. This year with the most recent addition to our family, Brooklyn, we decided we needed to share our vacation home; and thus we are opening it as a vacation rental, managed by Francine and the Kellogg Vacation Home team. We absolutely love our time in Wallace and the Northern Rockies; we know you will enjoy it just as much.

Great town, accommodating house, close to lots of recreation!

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time in the Wallace area, hiking the Pulaski trail, biking the Hiawatha, swimming in the city pool, laughing at the Sixth Street Melodrama, and enjoying the many great shops, museums, restaurants, and silver mine tour within walking distance of the "Banker" house. Lots of interesting history!

The house itself was clean and well stocked. I believe they must be counting the garage when they listed 2,000 sq ft. The floors and doors are very squeaky and creaky, but I guess that is to be expected of an older house built on a slope.

Loved the view from the dining room and kitchen!

Owner's Response: Hi Laurie, We are very happy you enjoyed the house and your trip. Although the house has been remodeled you are correct it has a few creaks. Believe it or not the house was actually built in 1905. The square footage, as our prints show is actually without the garage. It might be deceiving with the laundry and bathroom on the other side of the kitchen. Please email my wife or me if there anything we can add to improve your experience for the next time. We hope you will come back in the near future. Nate.j.lay at gmail Kind regards, Nathan and Jana

Family reunion

Could not have been more perfect! Walking distance to everything in Wallace!! Great house with BBQ clean/filled for our dinner; laundry; plenty of beds/linens; great kitchen facilities. Would not recommend for elderly due to the stairs to get to the house. Clean and ready for use. Highly recommend for a group, as we had!!!

Plenty of room for 4, nice location, clean.

  • 4 of 5

This was a fine house for our stay in Wallace. We were 2 couples. One room was large enough for a couple, the other 2 were small, with small beds, so it would be a bit tight for more than 4 people, unless they were children. The kitchen was well stocked. The location was very convenient to the town, restaurants, the bike path and the stairways!
