Better than I even had hoped for!

  • 5 of 5

I would highly recommend this beautiful little cottage to anyone who wants to explore the Southern Oregon and Northern California coastlines. My husband and I stayed here for 7 nights and used it as a home base to explore both north and south. We had an amazing time and the cottage had everything we could ever need including a one-of-a-kind view of the ocean right from the bedroom. It was simply gorgeous! The grounds were decorated so cute with birdhouses and flowers everywhere. It had a real country feel which was right up my alley. And, after spending the day hiking & exploring the many beaches and parks in the area, the hot-tub made for several relaxing evening watching the beautiful sunsets. In fact, one of our best nights was spent grilling some fresh salmon and enjoying the bottle of wine with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies for dessert, both of which were courtesy of our hostess. There is so much to do and explore in the area. We spent a full day in the Redwoods which are less than an hour away, a day on a jet boat tour up the Rogue River which we both thoroughly enjoyed, a day at Oregon Sand Dunes where we took a fast & furious roller coaster ride of a sand rail tour that was SOOOO FUN, and all the rest of the time we explored beaches, parks, coastal towns, cute little shops, and ate at every little seafood joint we could find. All in all, it was an amazing trip. Thank you to our hostess for providing the perfect setting for the perfect trip.

Adorable, cozy, amazing views!

  • 4 of 5

Very nice, little small (bathroom in particular), but the cottage was very cute, clean, and set-up nicely. The owners are very thoughtful and provided cookies, wine, and coffee. The hot tub was amazing and those ocean views were stunning. Neighborhood that cottage is in is not well taken care of, but didn't feel unsafe at all. The owner also has a binder full of great information on the surrounding area such as restaurants, beaches, etc. Would stay at cottage again.

Owner's Response: Dear Dan, Thank you for taking the time to write an informative review. The Sunset Cottage is cozy and as some travelers have mentioned, it is a miniature house. We do know our neighbors very well and most of us on A Street rarely bother to lock our doors! We are happy you mentioned the neighborhood so guests know what to expect when they arrive on A Street. Thank you again. Yours, Patrice and Staff

Heavenly Retreat

  • 5 of 5

This was our third visit to the 'Bluff', our previous to the Pelican Cottage. This time our friends stayed there and we enjoyed the Sunset Cottage. As in previous visits, we loved the feeling of isolation and grand views of the ocean were wonderful. We like the Pelican Cottage better- it has a better kitchen and more room around the bed, but the Sunset Cottage is very cozy and has a better set up for viewing the TV (which we did since Irma was destroying Florida at the time. Another restful and thoroughly enjoyable visit.

The perfect seaside cottage!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful cottage by the sea. It was the perfect, cozy home base for all of our grand adventures. The hot tub soaked away all of our hiking aches and pains and the views are out of this world! The wine and cookies were fabulous. They perfect end to several perfect days. You thought of everything!! Thank you!

Stunning views, quiet peaceful place. Impeccably clean with all the comforts of home.

Such a lovely, romantic cottage with incredible ocean views from cliffs. We spent our 30th anniversary here. Very clean, comfy, cozy with handy pantry items provided. Perfect temps in Gold Beach. Small town, we enjoyed Rachel's coffee shop and Spinner's restaurant.

You will LOVE ❤️ staying here at the Sunset Cottage!!!!
