Built in 1940 this beautiful house has two bedrooms downstairs and two upstairs plus a smaller nook with a full size bed. each floor has its own bathroom. Kitchen has commercial range, dishwasher, and gadgets. enjoy eggs from my hens on the brick patio.
We've had this house since 1977, and its full of memories for us. I am happy to be living again in this 1940s home after being away for a few years. There is a large park across the street, four great restaurants two blocks away plus eugene's best ice cream parlor and an excellent bakery. Hayward field is three blocks away and the willamette river (where I caught my first trout) is at the end of the street-about 12 blocks away.
The guest(s) has full access to the house, the front patio and deck, and the backyard. Alexi will greet guests and make sure they have everything they need before leaving you in peace.
The neighborhood is more professor than student. The restaurants are excellent and the feel of the street is lively but not loud. The house is located across the street from two parks- Hendricks park and Washburne Park.
Other items include: no smoking in the house, we do not charge a cleaning fee so we please do ask that you keep the house tidy. Well behaved dogs and cats are welcome.
Spencer was in town for a wedding. His group left the place immaculate and they were very communicative through the whole process from booking to check out. I highly recommend Spencer as a guest. Thanks and come back anytime, alexi
We arrived to find our host, Alexi, there to greet us and show us around. He quickly provided us with all the information we needed as well as additional contact information if there were any issues (There were not). The house was clean, and meet our group of nine's needs easily. The house had a very comfortable atmosphere making us feel as though we were at "home", and not a staying in someone else's house. Our group all agreed we would recommend this property to anyone. Thanks to Alexi for being a great part of our terrific visit.
We absolutely loved staying here over Labor Day weekend with our daughter, her husband, and their well-behaved English Bulldog! Alexi, the owner, was so helpful as he greeted us, gave us a tour, answered our questions, and left his cell phone number, plus other family members' numbers, in case we needed anything. The home was spacious, well-equipted, clean, comfortable, and ideally located. The park across the street was wonderful for our dog. We walked the neighborhood frequently, walked to an afternoon U of O football game, ate dinner and went to an ice cream parlor only 2 blocks away, and totally relaxed! Upon our arrival there were fresh eggs from the backyard chickens, fresh cut flowers on the table, wine, and chocolate. Lovely touches! We will definitely return to this fabulous home!!
Alexis met us for a walk through of the rental house and his warm hospitality was evident throughout the house. Fresh flowers, complimentary wine and chocolates plus a cheerful greeting. Our family aged 6 months to 58 all had a most memorable and enjoyable Christmas holiday at Alexis's rental home. Would rent the same place again without any reservations. The park across the street was a big hit with the kids.
This house was perfect for my family! Very clean, comfortable, and stylish; it's in a great neighborhood and Alexi is helpful and friendly. Fantastic house. Thank you!!
My family along with some close friends rented this vintage house for a very special gathering. We all felt at home from the moment we arrived. The friendly owner was there to happily greet us and show everything we would need to make our stay comfortable. Every part of the house was warm and inviting from the kitchen and the bedrooms to the living room and deck out front. The fresh eggs from the chickens, the close restaurants, and the lovely park across the street were just a few of the many charms. There are many beautiful sites right within the city so you don't have to travel very far to relax and enjoy nature's surroundings. We created some cherished memories in this special place and hope to come back someday.
My husband is a track coach, and my family rented the home to go and support the team. I had my small children (7 & 4), and another couple stay with us. It was very nice to be able to cook good food instead eat concessions all day. We were able to cook for one of the athletes with special dietary needs.
Truly a home with a love of character and love from it's owner. Kitchen is large, bedrooms are very big and accomodating. Everything about this house was great.
I'm hoping to stay again next year!
