About Charlotta Janssen

Why Charlotta Janssen chose Hudson
Great for urbanites in need of sun, space, luxury, antiques, fine dining, nature walks & culture: located on the main drag of Warren Street, it's a 10 minute walk from the train station. Once a milliner's hat shop built in 1860, you are transported straight into another time the moment you enter. Many original details are still in place: pre-tin plaster moldings, solid mahogany stairwells, pocket doors with etched glass inlay, large mahogany framed windows and gorgeous hardwood floors. The kitchen and bathrooms have been carefully renovated to fit in style with carefully selected and restored fixtures, such as an electric stove from the forties and a refrigerator from that period as well. Add central air, high speed internet and a washer/dryer on premise: the perfect getaway.
What makes this Apartment unique
As busy New Yorkers we understand the need for R & R. We liked the idea of a B&B, but had something a bit more intimate in mind: a romantic place, going back in time, where our guests could come into town, immediately immerse into the surroundings and also if need be withdraw and cook for themselves in a spacious retro kitchen. In another words: a romantic spacious getaway with the beauty of clean air and a country vibe along with the luxury of great restaurants, live entertainment and quality antiquing/shopping

Clean, comfortable and convenient
We stayed in the Bowler on the 3rd floor. It was fun, spacious, clean and quiet. We loved the homey feel and the fantastic location in the heart of Warren St. The kitchen is beautifully done and wonderfully appointed. I recommend this apartment for a couple only. I am not sure the queen bed is truly a queen-seemed closer to a full-size.
Characterful, fun and great location
We stayed 2 nights in the Fedora room. It a a great room - you have lots of space and the bathroom is cool. It is a great location, right in the centre of Hudson.
Charlotta was very helpful and promptly answered any questions I had. Her team also kindly washed some clothes for us, which was really appreciated.
I would definitely stay there again.
Charming space and cozy quarters!
I loved the space! Very convenient to everything in town, right on Warren street. Bed was very comfortable!! Had all of the amenities- hair dryer, soap shampoo etc and kitchen supplies as well. We hope to come back soon!!
Such a great place to stay!
Central to all the shops and restaurants on Warren Street. Beautiful antique decor!
Loved the massive apartment with full kitchen! Best location in the middle of everything. Huge bathroom! Gorgeous natural light in the bedroom is the perfect thing to wake up to every morning. The windows make a lot of noise with the wind, which might wake you up or bother you.
Awesome space, great location!
We really enjoyed our stay in the Fedora! The space was just as pictured, very cool and instaworthy!! Felt very spacious to us and clean. Charlotta was a great host, she checked in with us when we got there to make sure we knew how to work the thermostat and give us a space heater just in case. It’s right on Warren St basically walking distance to all the restaurants and bars. We had no problem finding street parking. Would definitely recommend!
Hudson is a gorgeous little town, full of antiques beyond compare, a plethora of restaurants, live entertainment, surrounded by lush country farms, nature resorts, right next to skiing resorts in the Catskills. Notable is Olana, estate of Frederick Church, who's views have been memorialized in his work and protected the region as well as the Thomas Kohl House in Catskill.
